John McWhirter
John McWhirter
I started my first band as a sophomore in High School, circa 1995! I've had a passion for guitars, whether playing or collecting, ever since.
Over the years I've played in several bands, ranging in style from Metal, Classic Rock, Reggae and Fusion Jazz. It's always been a joy to play live, whether it be in a large or small venue. Other memorable highlights have been session recording for special projects and also having the opportunity to teach younger students. I love being able to pass on what I've learned to young musicians!
In 2010 my focus shifted to serving at my local church. I've had the awesome opportunity of playing lead electric guitar and occasionally leading the worship band as well. Being a musician in this setting has kept me current on "silent stage" solutions, new and innovative products for guitars, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in Live Sound.
I'm truly honored to be here at Sweetwater and am excited to help customers just like myself, find the perfect solutions for their gear needs.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.
