Jeff Weinstein
Jeff Weinstein
During the summer before eighth grade, my middle school Spanish teacher offered me guitar lessons, and that started me down the road of a lifetime obsession with the guitar and music. I was really into hard rock and shredders at the time, and had the good fortune to study with the great Alex Skolnick of Testament and Trans-Siberian Orchestra fame while still in high school. I was also presented with a Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition semi-finalist award by Jimi's father Al and his sister Janie.
Around this time I started teaching private guitar lessons, and I got really into jazz-fusion players such as Mike Stern and Allan Holdsworth. I got accepted to the USC School of Music where I studied guitar with Richard Smith and Steve Trovato.
After graduation, I worked as a freelance guitarist and vocalist for about ten years in Northern California. I did a five-week Eastern European tour with the great funk-rock outfit, Deciduous, in 2007, and I also have extensive private/corporate party and wedding DJ experience.
I love musical instrument sales because it combines two of my biggest passions: people and music!

I had to only wait a few minutes on the phone to talk to Jeff. When I did connect with him, he sounded genuinely excited to hear from me again. We talked about what I wanted currently and some ideas of what equipment I am looking to purchase in the not-so-distant future. I thoroughly enjoyed Jeff's service and commitment to listen to me without making me feel like I was not lower on his to-do list even though I didn't have a large list or big-ticket items on my list. Thank you Jeff I look forward to talking with you again soon.
