Jason Mathis

I'm a musician, composer, vocalist and guitarist originally from Visalia, CA, now living in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Music has always held a special place in my life. Some of my earliest memories are of composing my first melody at the age 4, listening to my grandmother play devotional tunes on her baby Grand or sitting with my Dad as he would lay down a boogie woogie tune when he got home from work. I grew up learning the basics of the piano, taught myself to play the drums in my teenage years and eventually embarked on my life long love affair with the guitar.

In college, I studied composition at the University of California, Santa Cruz and minored in electronic music at the college where I learned recording. In fact, I helped build the studio during my time there. After graduation, I played in two touring Northern California bands running the sound at most of our gigs.

My passion for music has only grown in its intensity over the years and led me down a path which eventually brought me to Sweetwater. Since landing in Ft. Wayne, I have been on a non-stop exploration into everything sound related. From studio and live sound applications, to guitars, keyboards, drums and everything in-between, I continue to increase my depth of knowledge in all things musical to help my clients achieve their musical dreams.
