Greg Titzer
Greg Titzer
I’ve been a guitarist for over 50 years and a professional musician for 40 of those. My career has taken me from the early days of 4-track Tascam Portastudios all the way to SSL consoles and 2-inch tape in some of the best studios in the country. I’ve had the incredible privilege of working with legends like Voytek Kochanek and the iconic Eddie Kramer. Being in the room while the man who shaped the sounds of Hendrix and Led Zeppelin worked his magic gave me a perspective on tone and signal chains that you just can’t get from a manual.
My musical journey has covered everything from the high-gain world of metal and hard rock with bands like Threat and Mad Anthony to the polished production of yacht rock and country. Over the years, I’ve shared stages and studios with members of KISS, Papa Roach, Jackyl, and Rascal Flatts. These experiences taught me exactly what gear holds up when the pressure is on and what fails on a Tuesday night in a dive bar. Whether you’re building a modern digital modeling rig or a classic analog setup, I’ve likely used that gear in a high-stakes, real-world environment.
At Sweetwater, I am a trusted advisor for my customers. I’ve spent my life on your side of music, chasing the same perfect tones and reliable performance that you are. My goal is to use my decades of experience with everything from vintage tape to modern DAWs like Studio One and Pro Tools to help you avoid costly mistakes. I want to make sure you have the technical insight and gear you need to achieve your specific musical vision.
When I’m not talking gear, I’m usually busy on my hobby farm. My wife and I look after a big crew of alpacas, sheep, goats, and a mini-pony, all kept in check by our Sheepadoodle, Monty. We also love to travel abroad whenever we can. But no matter where I am, my heart is always in the instruments and technology that have defined my life for the last half-century. I look forward to helping you dial in your dream sound.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

I had a slight hiccup with the ordering process—probably either my bad, or a computer glitch. Not a big deal but Greg Titzer helped me solve the issue quickly. So much so, that I believe I received my two packages the same day that was advertised, even with a delayed payment. Greg was personal and professional and his attitude represents what I’ve come to expect from the Sweetwater staff. All of my past experiences have seen the brand fully demonstrate a passion for music. Sweet!
