K1000 Misc Reset? Initialize ? Extended Programs etc. Kurzweil 1000 series
Hard reset/initialize: Press and hold “yes” and “no” while powering up. ERASES ALL MEMORY
Soft reset – “Value Up”, Value Down”, and “Play/Edit” buttons at the same time while power is on.
Version 5 extended program changes – In version 5 you have 1000 location to store sounds. These 1000 locations are set up in 10 banks of 100 sounds. Parameter #003 and #004 must be set to Extended (EXT in display) To call sound up via midi you must use 2 program changes the fist program change is from 100 to 109 and this changes the Bank #, you then send a second program change the preset number. EX – #257 you send #102 followed by #57, #199 = 101 followed by 99. To call up sound with in same bank you get send program from 0 – 99.
Version 5 saving sounds – You have 1000 location to place sounds but you do not have 1000 memory location. You have 255 ROM and RAM location and these are mapped to the 1000 preset numbers. ROM is located from 1- 163, RAM is from 164 to 255.
