Synthesizer effects - P105B digital piano

jm0ney

I own a Yamaha P105B digital piano. It's a very basic keyboard with a great grand piano sound. I started playing as a keyboardist in a band and was asked if I could do any kind of synth effects. Looking for maybe the ability to do pitch bends and produce a synth-like sound. Trying to avoid spending a ton of money or having to buy a completely new keyboard.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Even if you could bend the pitch of a piano, it would still sound like a piano. You need another keyboard to produce what you're looking for. How much money can you afford to spend? Perhaps a used synth like a Roland SH-201, Alesis Ion... etc.
