USB DJ Controllers

Hey all, I'm trying to start DJing to earn a little extra cash on the weekends by DJing at parties and whatnot. I have a Mac Book Pro and PA system, so now I'm looking for DJ controller. I'd like to find one that will do some decent scratching and is preferably no more than $400. The two that I've been looking are the Vestax Spin and the Numark Omni Control. The reviews I've read and the performance videos on youtube for both units have been very positive.
I'm leaning more towards the Spin, mainly because of the price and it seems to have better response when scratching. The problem is that the only place to get it is through Apple and they are back-ordered for 2-3 months.
Has any one had experience with the Spin or the Omni Control? How do they compare to other units in their price range?
