This is so harmonically sweet!!

This Distortion Pedal it's just amazing! It definitely has Tosin Abasi Harmonically Edgy sound!! I am running it through a Fender Custom Deluxe and a Vox AC30 and I am blown away! This thing it's just amazing. Please do yourself a favor and try this baby in front of any amp!

Excellent pedal

Not a Tobin Abasi fan, or really a fan of most prog, really I can take it small doses here and there but it's just not what I'm about.

This solves a problem I've been working on for a while. My main rig for most heavy rhythm work is fine, I use a Mesa amp and cab for that and not much else in the chain. My other chain is where all of my pedals get used and it ends up in a clean Fender amp. I really needed a credible and versatile distortion to take the medium-high gain sounds, basically everything harder than what the Blues Driver can do, while having still some level of warmth and width to the sound.

I'd tried maybe 6 or 7 by the time I found this, the Angry Charlie, Revv G3 and G4 were probably the best of those and very good in their own way, and over time who knows how many random Boss distortions I've tried. This one hit the nail on the head and keeps that big sound in a way that really doesn't sound out of place paired with a Dual Rec in the other channel, it's just different and (very roughly) more in that Marshall type vibe, but through my admittedly very good cab you'd never in a million years think it was a Fender head and a pedal.

Very impressed, this plain-looking little thing is one of the best purchases I've made in the last few years. Those with pedal platform amp looking for a distortion with actual balls and grind to it without that thin or overly fizzy character should look into demos for this one.

My go to distortion!!

I'm a huge Animals as Leaders/Tosin Abasi fan and have always loved the crystalline cleans and smooth distortions he gets on their records so I thought this pedal was a no-brainer. I was a little disappointed at first as it sounded darker than I was expecting, especially in the Smooth channel. However, I believe that this was the fault of the conservative EQ settings I was setting. Once I had the Mid knob to at least 3 o'clock and adjusted the Treble to taste, the clarity and "fluidity" really started popping right out, especially in leads (think John Petrucci's "liquid lead" sound). Don't be afraid to crank the Mid or Treble on this beastie! Most pedals get shrill when you do this but this only tightens and brings out the clarity in this case. Interestingly enough.

Interestingly enough, this pedal has enough gain for any genre you could want but is flexible beyond just the "djent" that everyone typecasts Animals as Leaders for. They do sooo much more than just djent and this pedal can do so much more than that, too. Chords also sound fantastic. Somehow, complex chords don't sound muddied out...all the notes seem to ring out harmonically...almost like the pedal is asking you to play complex music with it!

I use this pedal as a "preamp gain" run into a Strymon Iridium set to a warm but full clean sound with the stock Mesa IR 4x12 with controls set just a bit before breakup. For my recordings, this is a match made in heaven and it sounds fantastic. I've also used it on my pedalboard as a lead channel and it was great at that, as well as its clarity really helps cut through the mix. I can see why Tosin endorses this pedal. If any of what I said here interests you, get it!! You won't regret it!

Guitar pedal

Amazing pedal super versatile for prog and metal tones even blues if you mess with the nobs a bit

It’s a keeper

I thought it would be all high gain death metal prog rock but it's very versatile. High gain. But you can lower it and get lots tones in that box. Good looking great box too. If I kept it, It's good. I love high gain but it's a very useable high gain for any genre is my point.
