An FRFR Cab for Positive Grid's Spark

Positive Grid's Spark Cab is a 140-watt powered cabinet optimized for the company's Spark guitar amplifiers. This compact, Class D-powered behemoth comes loaded with a 10-inch woofer and two high-frequency dome tweeters, yielding a clear, accurate sound with low distortion and a full-range flat response that will highlight every detail of your amplifier models. You get two combo inputs that accommodate dynamic mics and line-level signals, along with a balanced output that you can either route to front of house or another Spark Cab if you want to expand your rig. Spark Cab boasts rugged MDF construction with two easy-carry handles, plus an eye-grabbing Tolex cover and grille cloth that match the styling of Positive Grid's Spark amplifiers.

Larger-than-life sound

Packing 140 watts of power and copious amounts of headroom, Spark Cab unleashes high-volume output for an authentic speaker-pushing-air experience. This powered FRFR cabinet includes a 10-inch woofer and two high-frequency dome tweeters, yielding low-distortion audio reproduction with a flat frequency response that won't color the sound of your amplifier models — even at scorching-hot volume levels.

Tons of connectivity

The guitarists here at Sweetwater appreciate how well-connected Positive Grid's Spark Cab is. It all starts with a dedicated 3.5mm stereo input for your Spark amplifier. It also includes two combo inputs, which accept 1/4-inch and XLR connectors and accommodate dynamic microphones and line-level signals. You also get a balanced XLR output for connecting to the house PA or expanding your rig with another Spark Cab.

Rock-solid construction

Designed to complement Positive Grid's Spark amplifiers, Spark Cab is built from super-tough MDF with a matching Tolex cover and grille cloth. Spark Cab also brandishes rugged inset handles for easy transport.

Cab owner

Is awesome with the exception of the noise floor. I'm partially deaf so I can hardly hear it, but the noise floor could be a problem when used in a gig.

POSITIVE GRID SPARK CAB

SOUNDS SURPRISINGLY GOOD FOR A CLASS D AMPLIFIER. WORKS QUITE WELL WITH MY SPARK 40.GOOD SOLUTION THAT WON'T BREK THE BANK 5 STARS

spark cab

It took a little learning on eq-ing it, as it has a lot of bass . once I got a handle on the acabinet's response
re adjusting between just the spark 40 and this cab isn't a big deal. tons of vole and well thought out inputs and outputs are highly functional. More on the plus side the usb-c connection is perfect for keeping my ipad running at a gig or rehearsal.

Spark Cab is a healthy addition

Well, I got tired of having to mic my Spark 40 every time we'd get together for a jam, so when it became available, I picked up the Spark Cab and I am not disappointed. It has plenty of power for jam days and if you gig, I'm pretty sure there is more than enough stage volume for most venues. I also like the fact I can use it for my acoustic/electric AND my Bass. I plugged my bass and dialed up a basic patch for it and I was shocked at how well the Cab worked with it. I probably wouldn't use it as a stage rig for lager venues, but the thing really held it's own as a bass amp. Since I am a novice guitar player (converting from decades of Bass)I still have a lot to learn about the amp and cab and will probably pick up a foot controller down the road as well, but if you're looking for a nice rig that includes jsut about every effects and amp combo you can think of, the 40 and the Cab are for you.

My Spark 40 Roars in the Spark Cab!

I've owned my Spark 40 for two years and love it. Changed the speakers out to get a little less "woof." But, now with the Spark Cab the Spark 40 achieves it's ultimate form: a face-melting 140 watt beast that competes easily with a 4x12 cabinet I previously owned. It's engineered to be easy - I was up and running in 5 minutes. The DC connection from the cab powers the Spark 40; the built-in USB-C powers my dedicated tablet running the Spark app. And at just over 25 pounds, the Spark Cab is simply delightful to carry around.

Would I recommend it: absolutely!

And the Sweetwater experience continues to be the best: Josh Trumm was in contact with me within a couple of days of receipt and personally called to inquire as to whether I had any operational issues. Best customer service anywhere!
