Behringer Releases New DeepMind 12 Firmware

Behringer has released new firmware for the DeepMind 12 synthesizer. Firmware version 1.05 includes a whole host of new fixes and features:

  • Added CC#5 Portamento Time and Aftertouch destination options to GLOBAL > PEDAL SETTINGS.
  • Added CC#11 Expression as a modulation source option.
  • Added support for MIDI CC#7 Volume controller (controller is now assigned to common VCA Gain).
  • Added Vintage Pitch Shifter effect to avoid the “glitchlng” that can occur with low-level signals and the Dual Pitch Shifter effect.
  • Fixed “hard fault” crash when pressing NO/- button to scroll left on Poly Chord screen.
  • Fixed a GUI issue where the VCA level meter value would not update unless the VCA fader was moved physically.
  • Reworked VCA Calibration routine and fixed VCA gating on long attack/release envelopes.
  • Fixed “cracking distortion” on A30 and other patches (reduced the gain feeding into the
  • high-pass/boost circuit to avoid distortion with high-signal-level programs. (End users are strongly advised to run VCA Calibration on all voices after upgrading to v1.0.5 firmware).
  • Fixed stuck-note bug that could be generated when holding the MOD button to set a modulation shortcut.
  • Fixed keyboard-scanning crash
  • Increased internal pltch resolution to fix Unison-Detune values below 16 not having an effect on oscillator pitches.
  • Fixed “hard fault” crash on receiving MTC (MIDI Time Code) in certain circumstances.

The new firmware should be used with the application v1.0.2 or later. Firmware version 1.05 is free to all registered owners.
