How do Price Drops work?
As you browse listings on Gear Exchange, you will notice that some have a blue "Price Drop" banner. Here's what you need to know about the Price Drop feature and how to use it to your advantage:
Price Drop Banner Eligibility
- Your listing must have been published at least 5 days ago for the banner to appear
- Your price drop must be at least 5% OFF the original published price
- Your new price must be more than $5 lower than the original published price
Sell Your Gear Faster
Once your item is qualified as a GX Price Drop, you will see the blue banner on your listing page and on your listing card as it appears on relevant category pages and in search results. Your listing will also be automatically added to our Price Drops collection page, which is featured in various places throughout the Gear Exchange website and in our email marketing.
Most importantly, if your listing has any "Watchers", we will send a Price Drop email (dedicated to your listing) to everyone who is watching your item to let them know there is a great deal to check out. If potential buyers are subscribed to text message updates, we will also notify them via SMS.
