Warwick Is a Family-run Business
Warwick was founded in Pretzfeld, in the German state of Bavaria, by Hans-Peter Wilfer. In 1995, the company relocated to Markneukirchen in the Saxon Vogtland, a region with a centuries-old tradition of instrument building. Today, the company is run by Nicolas “Nico” Wilfer, Hans-Peter’s son, who is a third-generation luthier. Nico is delighted to continue his family’s celebrated legacy of first-class instrument building, with an unremitting focus on technological innovation and carbon-neutral production.
If You Can Dream It, Warwick Can Build It
Warwick’s Custom Shop can build just about any instrument you can imagine. These Masterbuilt bass guitars boast an endless combination of tonewoods and electronics, as well as an infinite array of eye-grabbing finishes. That’s why Warwick’s motto is, “If you can dream it, we can build it!”
Top-shelf Teambuilt Basses
Players searching for a top-shelf bass should look no further than Warwick’s Pro Series. These basses are crafted in the same factory as the Custom Shop instruments, under the direct supervision of the company’s master builders. Pro Series bass guitars feature high-performance, steel-reinforced necks, Warwick’s acclaimed Invisible Fretwork Technology, Just-A-Nut nuts, high-quality pickups, state-of-the-art onboard preamps, and a proprietary pickup mounting system that offers unparalleled adjustability. Ultra-reliable tuners, rock-solid bridges, and stress-free locking strap systems are also standard issue.
Head-turning Looks
No matter which Warwick bass you choose, it’s guaranteed to elicit jealous stares. All Warwick instruments boast gorgeous three-dimensional grain patterns, which are highlighted by ultra-thin finishes. These finishes not only look amazing, but they also minimize the impairment of sustain and tone. What’s more, these finishes are highly resistant to dings and scratches. And because these finishes are water-soluble, they don’t contain harmful pollutants.
Iconic Body Shapes
Warwick’s body designs are renowned all over the world. These comfortably contoured bass guitars are not only exhilarating to look at, but they also yield unfettered playability that’s guaranteed to elate even the most discriminating of musicians. The Corvette is one of Warwick’s most distinctive designs, offering feel, tone, and ergonomics that are impossible to forget once you experience them. Beyond that, Warwick’s Idolmaker, Star Bass, and Sklar Bass are played by top-tier bassists all over the world.
