Starting with recreating as a base and innovation as their trajectory, Walrus Audio's attempts have been to highlight the functions that they would want to manipulate to find the particular sounds that inspire them. Through many years of late night breadboarding sessions, circuit problem-solving, and sonic tweaking, they've come up with a range of guitar pedals as versatile as they are functional.

Throughout the years Walrus Audio has been inspired by sounds created by their favorite artists: the perfect breakup on an overdrive, a thick, punchy distortion, an endlessly sustained reverb, a self-oscillating delay. Walrus Audio is a collective of artists, musicians, and engineers attempting to find the balance between art and performance in sound manipulation. It’s their goal to make guitar effects that are as interesting to play as they are to look at.

Walrus Audio began in a small workspace in Norman, Oklahoma, in 2011. The Premier Gear Award–winning Voyager Overdrive set the brand’s seafoam color in stone, with an expectancy of top-notch artwork from incredibly talented illustrators.

Every pedal and power supply is researched, developed, and built in the Walrus Audio shop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Walrus Audio has a roster of artists all over the globe, and of nearly every genre, that they are proud to work with.
