History
Kyser’s origin starts with founder Milton Kyser, a go-getter and hard worker. After the Air Force, Milton became a professional machinist, making ball bearings for oil and gas rigs. He took that knowledge and applied it to making high-quality guitar capos. With that same energy and spirit, Milton took to nightly club and live gigs of Deep Ellum and handed out his signature Kyser Quick-Change acoustic guitar capos to local Texas musicians like Gary Clark Jr. and George Strait.
The Kyser Capo Approach
From the beginning, Milton did everything by hand, and to this day, Kyser make sure that approach is applied in every step of the Kyser Capo process. With Kyser Capos, employees aren’t just employees, they’re also members of the family — a family that works vigorously 24/7 to perfect every guitar capo. From the start of the factory to the first grip on stage, it takes 35 family members to make a single Kyser Guitar Capo, and they handcraft each one in a multi-step process from the best American-sourced materials. This is all done only on custom machinery Milton Kyser designed himself. This is why all Kyser Quick-Change guitar capos are guaranteed for life and are the most trusted in the world. Kyser is committed to quality, and they’ve been doing it our whole lives right in the heart of Kaufman, Texas.
A Commitment to the Power of Music
Kyser believes that powerful moments are made possible by musicians collaborating when using Kyser Capos. They aim to inspire creativity with their artists and ambassadors, whether it be on the stage, in the studio, or during the songwriting process.
The Future
With the Future ahead, there’s no telling what Kyser will do next. From their exclusive electric guitar capo collaborations with Fender to their support with numerous community members, veterans, and organizations, Kyser aspires to empower musicians to collaborate and share the power of music.
