Great product, easy to use and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Drag & drop, 4 stems separated usually within 2 - 3 minutes. Mute/solo option, De-bleed slider. Adjust level of vocals, bass, drums, or other instrument stems and insert your own playing. Works perfectly so far.

The folks at ADX are doing it right. XTRAX Stems 4 is super easy, just drag and drop a song you want to work with, and suddenly the song is separated into 4 stems: vocals, drums, bass, and everything else. All done automatically. I take the stems I want, (I mostly use the vocals and drums) and use them to create an interesting remix! So cool.

My review is not to discredit this product, but more to advise if this is right for you. I was looking for a product to help isolate the instruments in a song. While this does that, the instrument I was primarily buying this for, the bass left me wanting. For vocal separation or drums, it was great. For bass, not so much. I find it just gave a muffled low tone without a definitive tone. I have an app on my phone that does this at about the same quality. Maybe, what I am looking for is just not available unless I spend a lot of money.

I purchased a license for XTRAX Stems 2. They shutdown the server for it, and are forcing you to a subscription plan even though I had already paid for the non-subscription model. They did not ward any of their customers they would be doing this as well. This indicates to me a dishonest company. There are much better and free alternatives to this software out there anyway.

As a drummer, I use drumless tracks to practice songs for my band. I've downloaded lots of drumless versions of songs that are posted on YouTube. The quality of those is far, far superior to Audionamix XTRAX Stems 4 – Stem. I've used XTRAX to make drumless versions of: Black Crowes Jealous Again; Joe Jackson, Is She Really Going Out With Him; The Band, Don't Do It and Fabulous Thunderbirds, Tuff Enuff – and none of them are usable.

The music is highly distorted, especially around the rhythm. The bass can't be heard at all. Lead guitars and vocals come out pretty well, but anything down low is just blurred mess of sound. I'm very disappointed and will not renew the license.
