Origin and the Spirit
Boasting a fresh, unique look and a stunning, open sound with ear-tickling harmonics, the Aston Origin is an outstanding large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone. This feature-packed mic includes a -10dB pad and 80Hz highpass filter, making it a great all-around workhorse for studio and stage alike. The Origin excels in a myriad of applications, especially on vocals and acoustic instruments, delivering transparent results with zero harshness. The Spirit exhibits the same outstanding performance as the Origin, but ups the ante with switchable cardioid, omni, and figure-8 polar patterns.
Stealth
The Stealth is Aston’s take on the classic dynamic broadcast microphone. This isn’t a me-too product, though. Thanks to its active and passive modes, the Stealth can effortlessly veer between a full-sounding dynamic mic with high SPL handling and a condenser-like microphone with lots of gain before feedback. Four different voicing modes optimize the Stealth for vocals, guitars, and more. Add to that an internal shockmount for minimizing low-end rumble and a stainless-steel capsule for maximum interference rejection, and you have a rock-solid, multipurpose microphone that’s sure to make an appearance in every session.
Element
Regardless of how many microphones you’ve used, you’ve never seen — or heard — anything like the Aston Element. Developed with input from over 2,000 musicians, engineers, and producers, this microphone’s active, moving-coil design gives it a sound that’s different from dynamic, ribbon, and condenser mics. In other words, if you want a mic that sounds like the Element, you need to get an Element. And how does it sound? “Full,” “wide-ranging,” and “detailed” are some of the descriptors we threw around here at Sweetwater. But, no matter what words you use to describe it, the Element’s extended bass, natural-sounding smoothness, and fast transient response will deliver a vibrant sound that you’ll reach for again and again.
Halo
If you’re tracking in an untreated space, then your microphone will reveal every acoustic flaw of your room. That’s why you need Aston’s Halo. This reflection filter employs a patented shell-shaped PET felt design that wraps around the top, bottom, and sides of your microphone. The result? Superior isolation. And, since PET felt is made from 70% recycled plastic bottles, you can create great-sounding recordings and maintain a low carbon footprint. It looks pretty snazzy, too!
