Antares was founded in 1990 by Dr. Harold Hildebrand, a former research geophysicist who turned his technical know-how back to one of his earliest loves: music. Frustrated with the limitations of digital sampling, Hildebrand went to work using cutting-edge DSP technology he understood from the geophysical industry and eventually introduced a host of software plug-ins.
