Slim, Portable, and Ready to Play

Korg's microKEY2 MIDI controller keyboard embodies elegant simplicity, putting basic functionality over frills to provide you with an excellently playable set of keys wherever you need them. This microKEY2 features 61 keys, providing you with an extended playing range, while remaining slim enough and light enough to travel well. Dedicated pitch and mod wheels are also handy. Our customers and the keyboardists here at Sweetwater both appreciate the added portability of the second-generation microKEY line, which can now be powered right from your iPad or iPhone, and the addition of a damper pedal input is a nice touch. Top it off with a nice software package, including titles from Korg, UVI, AAS, Propellerhead, and Ableton, and you can't go wrong with a microKEY2.

Handy idea composer keyboard

I leave this leaned up against my desk and pull it out when I am inspired. It has enough notes that I can get an idea down. Portable, and thin keys and the price is right. Excellent mini keyboard. Much easier to play than a Launchkey mini. night and day difference.

Love it!

I"m an amateur keyboard player and I just use this for jamming with garage band and digital synths. This controller more than satisfies my needs. I upgraded to this from the midiplus AKM320 (32 keys) and the difference is astounding. 61 keys is plenty to make two-handed playing very comfortable and natural. The keys on the Korg microKey feel amazing, and their size is definitely usable for someone with average- or above average-sized hands.

Highly recommend this controller!

Korg

Rulgert Ghostalker's Korg MicroKey 61 Reveiw...

i would not call the keys weighted; semi-weighted maybe, but not weighted, and certainly not a quality hammer action weighted....

when someone says " weighted keys" i expect to be able to snap the player side edge, of any key, and have the inertia carry it through to a strike....not the case with the Korg Micro Key, which i would refer to as a " spring action semi-weighted " board....

i like the compactness, and overall layout, of the Korg MicroKey 61, but would have paid 400USD for a 61 key hammer-action board, with the same dimensions that allows this one to fit in my work space.

an extra 0.5 mm on each key's root width would also be nice...providing that extra 3.05 cm of the keybed, then, would only add 1 or 2 cm to the unit.

Kong microKey-61

Needed a 61 key controller to write band/orchestra music. Don"t like the microKeys, but clearly advertised. It does fits my limited computer desk. Works great with Sibelius. As with previous controllers, do not like the USB-B connector that easily breaks is bumped. This one is on the side instead of the back which is worse in my space. USB-A to USB-A would be a big improvement as that connector is stronger.
