A Handy Mute Switch for Your Lav
If you're a vocalist, a lecturer, an announcer, or anyone else who uses a lavalier microphone on a regular basis, then you've probably had several occasions when a mute switch for your mic would've come in handy. You can't just put down your lapel mic as you would a handheld microphone. So here's the perfect solution for your Shure wireless lav system: the Shure WA360. It's a multifunction mute switch that works with any Shure TA4F-terminated lavalier microphone. That includes common lavs, such as the WL83, WL84, WL93, WL183, WL184, WL185, SM83A, SM84A, as well as many other microphones like them. What's really cool about the WA360 is that it functions in three different modes. You can set it to lock on and off, or in one of two momentary settings. When set in the push-to-talk momentary setting, the WA360 acts like an intercom button. When you set it to "cough" mode, it mutes your microphone only when depressed. These three modes give you the freedom to lecture or perform in the way you feel most comfortable.
