When I got my iMac computer about 7 years ago there was no Line-in port. So I obtained the Griffin iMic which worked well until lately. It started getting flaky, dropping the right or left channel (or both!) at random times. I hoped it wasn't my 10-yr-old Onkyo receiver. I figured it would be better to replace a $30 part first! Since the iMic is no longer available, my research led me to this Behringer UCA222. And the Behringer is the perfect replacement. After plugging in my Input and Output RCA cables from the Onkyo the Behringer just sits there and works as advertised. I don't plan on using the headphone jack or the optical port, so can't comment on those.

Excellent product. Note, when I plugged it into my laptop running windows 10 the drivers that automatically downloaded made my laptop recognize the interface as a mic, therefore the interface didn't work properly. Once I manually downloaded the proper drivers it worked like a charm. The gentleman in this vid provides links to drivers and a brief installation tutorial.

Don't pay attention to any low star review that says this device doesn't work in Windows 10, they're lying!! IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!

I have had my UCA222 for over a decade now, and the same unit that used to interconnect my DJ controller and my laptop now works perfectly connecting my laptop and outputting great sound to my PreSonus ERIS 3.5 monitors via RCA to 1/4 L/R jack cable!

Again, you DO NOT need to install any kind of drivers in Windows 10 for this amazing device to work. Windows automatically installs the default Microsoft "USB Audio Codec" driver and UCA222 works immediately!

If anyone is interested my device has the 0907 Date Code and serial starting with 09, which means it was manufactured in 2009.

This tiny tool draws just 100mah from the USB port so its super low power usage as well!

The only con for me is that the headphone monitoring is the weakest part, it struggles to feed some more demanding headphones probably due to the amp being pretty weak but honestly it doesn't bother me in my situation at all.

A very basic interface, which works flawlessly. I use it for court reporting, not music. It provides all the functionality the built-in soundcard lacks.
