The Rebirth of Fender's Original "Super Strat"!
A few years back, Fender released a surprisingly upscale Strat with a more surprisingly low price tag. Now, by popular demand, the company has released the Deluxe Player's Stratocaster, an updated version of the former Super Strat. Upgraded with American-made Vintage Noiseless pickups, this guitar not only sounds great, but with a 12-inch neck radius and medium jumbo frets, it's a real workhorse of a guitar. And, don't forget about the push button switch that gives the player seven different pickup combinations!
Fender Deluxe Player's Strat at a Glance:- Solid ash body with Crimson Red Transparent polyester finish.
- Four-ply brown tortoiseshell pickguard and gold plated hardware.
- Three Vintage Noiseless Strat pickups with special push button pickup. voicing.
- One-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with modern "C" shape.
Superbly playable and Supremely Affordable
There's not another Strat in the entire Fender line that offers up so much "bang for the buck!" You start with that classic custom contoured Strat body with all its sleek lines. The solid ash body sports an eye-catching Sapphire Blue Transparent polyester finish which contrasts nicely with the four-ply brown tortoiseshell pickguard and the gold plated hardware. You can easily bend notes or entire chords up or down with the vintage style synchronized tremolo unit, but you'll always stay in tune thanks to the ageless Leo Fender design. And consider this: There's no other Strat at this price point that gives you access to so many pickup voicings - seven in all! Best of all, this wonderfully playable guitar comes with a surprisingly affordable price tag.
The Trademark Strat Sound - Plus!
The original Strat had three single coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver, particularly once Player's discovered they could lodge the three-position blade switch in those "in-between" positions to access neck / middle and bridge / middle pickup combinations. These were often erroneously referred to as the "out-of-phase" settings. The Deluxe Player's Strat ships with premium Vintage Noiseless Strat pickups and a five-way blade switch, so you can easily access the extra pickup voicings. But that's not all! Like the original Super Strat, it adds a special push button that activates the bridge pickup in positions 4 and 5, giving the Deluxe Player's Strat seven possible pickup combinations for extraordinary tonal possibilities.
Fast Playing Maple Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard
Leo Fender wasn't afraid to "think outside the box" when it came to guitar designs - after all, he was an engineer, not a guitar player. In the 1950s and well into the 1970s, the blond natural maple neck became almost synonymous with Fender guitars. The Deluxe Player's Strat comes with a one-piece maple neck and adds a more traditional rosewood fingerboard, but with a modern "C" shape and a slightly wider 12-inch radius for super smooth licks, runs and arpeggios. In keeping with contemporary player preferences, the fast playing neck is finished in a silky-smooth satin polyurethane.

Fender Guitars
You could easily make the case that Fender electric guitars were responsible - at least in great part - for the birth of modern rock 'n' roll. Originally designed to be easier to build, and thus more affordable, Leo Fender's masterpieces, which include classics like the Stratocaster (is there a more distinctive guitar shape in the world?), the Telecaster and the original Precision Bass, were at the core of a musical revolution that spawned everything from surf to country to punk!
In the 1960s, when Fender guitars first hit bandstands and stages all around the country, it was astonishing to see that trademark Fender maple neck and fingerboard. Though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards as standard or optional on its entire line of instruments, those first "blond" necks really shook things up. Others have picked up on the maple neck theme, but it's clearly yet another of Leo Fender's"firsts."
Today, no other manufacturer can match Fender for the sheer number of options available throughout its entire line. While vintage Fenders can command astronomic prices, the company now has the widest range of quality instruments in the world, along with the highest profile Player's like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, all of whom are legendary.
When you buy a Fender Deluxe Player's Strat from Sweetwater, it's like having one made just for you - aside from our 40-point quality control evaluation and basic set-up, the only person who puts their hands on it is you!
