Reviews

Game Changer!

Here's the review I shared in my Spector Bass Nation group after asking their collective advice. "OK y'all, happy to report that the SE535's were a game changer last night!!! Best money I've spent in YEARS! Thanks for all your valuable input! Rather surprised I ended up liking the triangular tips the most. They just gave me a better seal. Before that, I slid them into my old Sensophonics custom molds. They did fit, but the 535 shell is slightly larger than the 215 shell and it got tight and uncomfortable quick." I'm running a Spector NS2J bass - Tech 21 Pinnick pedal - Trace Elliot TE1200 amp - Trace Elliot 1528 cab.

Worth the Price
The price is steep but I think these IEMs are worth it. Other lesser-priced IEMs don't deliver the range that these do. I'm a worhsip leader and occasionally sub in on bass when the opportunity arises and the lows that the SE535s deliver are impressive. I will say that you need to take your time through trial and error to make sure you use the right size ear buds. Placement has a huge effect on sound quality. If they aren't seated in the right spot, you won't get the full frequency range.
Nice upgrade
As a trying a few different options in my intro into iem technology I'm stoked with this upgrade from the cheaper Shure iem's. As a lead singer and guitar/mandolin player I love how clear these are. I still get a good punch from the the kick and bass in my ears with out it getting too muddy as I've experienced with cheaper brands. I've also played with these for editing audio and video in my day job, and they are super clear with good isolation.

Shure SE535 vs ZS10pro
Searching for the best IEM tone playing bass in my church with the Behringer X32 mixer I was advised to acquire the KZS10PRO which supposedly produces better bass and more then Shure SE535 IEM so I've purchased the ZS10PRO and larger memory foam tips from Sonic foam which yields good bass yet with 5 drivers the bass seems to masks the mid's and highs with reduced clarity and balance yet sufficient for most folks. overall, ZS10PRO IEM are not superior to the SE535 which offers an incredible clear well balanced tone resulting real natural sound. as it turned out, the poor tone / lack of bass in my IEM resulted from poor misadjusted mixer board by some inexperienced sound guys and today A real sound man came and set my IEM tone and bass perfectly to my satisfaction with my SE535 IEM which again demonstrates Shure's product quality and flowless performance which justifies the higher price tag we pay for such awesome IEM. though not all musicians are willing to spend the higher cost of top quality IEM and settle for cheaper made in china IEM which works with increased quality these days.
