ProMIX - when you need "just a couple more"

ARTcessories - a full line of clever, affordable processing tools for live sound, stage, and studio. The ARTcessories line is designed to deliver solutions for a number of audio needs - like having phantom power, having one or two more mixing channels, testing cables, headphone processing, preamplification for microphones and turntables, and many more real-world applications. With their affordable prices and simple design, the new line of ARTcessories will satisfy the needs of working musicians and sound engineers everywhere.

Problem: You need to add 3 mics to a mixer, which only has one available channel.

Solution: Insert a ProMIX between the mics and the mixer.

Each mic channel on the ProMIX has phantom power, low-frequency cut selectable via DIP switches plus a level control. The balanced XLR line output can be connected to a mic input on the mixer, and headphones or a powered monitor can be connected to the Phone/Aux output. And if AC power is not available, the ProMIX runs on batteries as well.

Must have for us solo drummers!

Glad I got this for my solo drum recordings.Three mic's is All need to adjust volume levels(while behind my kit)before I hit that start/stop pedal. Two x/y 57 overheads and a Beta52 for kick.No noticeable hiss unless you go way up but anyways necessary purchase for my projects before the unit gets back ordered. And it ain't bulky like my mixer which is even radder.

great product

The Promix did the job perfectly! We are now able to plug 3 low Z mics into one Hi Z channel with tons of headroom ( used for acoustic instruments)the tonality works really well setting the mix on the board to the sum of the 3 mics. Promix gives a strong undistorted signal that is clean and crisp. We used the aux output on the Promix to connect to the Yamaha 600BT powered board.

Minimal package, high quality

We are a duo using voice, guitar and clarinet with good quality microphone and instrument pickups. So one of these plus an ART passive two channel DI box is all the mixer we need. Everything straps to our microphone stand with just one cable to the PA unit and no power cables to worry about. Just carry spare PP3 batteries and keep a battery checker at home. Battery life is very good.

And with a bigger mixer this is a handy way to get some extra channels.

It is claimed to output a Mic level signal but we find it too powerful for that and it works fine into the line input of a PA.
Music background: Started playing in 1962
