From Our Research Team:Put A Legendary Live DI/EQ in Your RigFor over a decade and a half, the Para DI has been one of the mainstays of live music world. It's small enough to fit in just about any instrument case, yet the impact the Para DI makes on the sound quality of your acoustic pickups is simply profound. It's built road tough and versatile enough to run for up to 200 hours on a single, field changeable 9V battery power or to run off of +48V phantom power, and the signal of either active or passive electronics. And you're sure to love the way that the Para DI's 5-band equalizer sweetens your sound. When you need a rock-solid direct box that brings out the best qualities of your acoustic guitar's tone, accept no substitutes! The Para DI's discrete, Class A FET input provides a crystal-clear internal sound path, and an adjustable gain parameter makes matching the levels of active or passive electronics easy. It's equalizer offers +/-12dB of correction with 6dB high- and low-mid frequency notches and an adjustable -12dB/octave low-cut filter. A built in FX send and return loop also assures you get the most of the Para DI's signal quality regardless of the rest of your signal chain. On the way out, out can chose from balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs. Finally, a total gain of up to +24dB ensures that you'll get a sufficiently powerful signal. LR Baggs Para DI Features:

First off, I'd like to say that I give this DI a 5 star for sound. It's great sounding, and that's not the concern at all. Here are the things that bother me a lot. March 1, 2012 Music Background: Professional Musician 1) There is no way ... read more [+]to monitor your gain from clipping. When you have an onboard volume on your guitar, and then a gain knob on the DI, and then a volume on the DI, there are 3 different gain stages. That's not a problem IF there was any sort of meter to let you know if you're clipping or not. How do you expect to properly set the gain without some sort of indication other than distortion. I play professionally, and this is extremely bothersome. The venue DI has this feature, and this DI should. 2) The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that the XLR comes out of the top of the DI. Why they designed it this way blows my mind. I have a very clean stage set up, and things are laying flat, and look clean and professional. Then I add this DI, and I have an XLR sticking straight up in the air, and taking the clean look and making it ugly. This is poor design in my opinion, and I wish they would make a new model with the XLR like every other DI is, out the side. I love the DI, but those two major things just don't make sense to me. close [-] Love This Di
