Well built that fit snug. Midi doesn't need gold or anything fancy, but they should fit securely. These do and are inexpensive. They're great! I replaced these with 20'. 10' really isn't far and even with my keyboard right against my rack, 10' isn't enough to dress them neatly to avoid seeing cables. Live and learn for me, but not the cables fault.

These MIDI cables are within spec and are of decent quality. I bought them because of the metal housing. Much better than the common molded housings that are more common. BUT BEWARE, if you need power on your MIDI cable as might be the case if you connect a MIDI foot controller that uses pins 1 and 5 for power or other function, then this cable WILL NOT WORK. Had I read the spec, I would have seen "3 conductor cable" which again, is just fine for MIDI keyboards and so on. For expanded use, be sure to get 5 conductor cable.
