Makes Computer Recording a Breeze!

Samson's Go Mic is a super-handy USB microphone that's perfect for recording, podcasting, web-casting, "Skype"-ing, and more - all from your laptop or desktop computer. The Samson Go Mic features a special compact design that can clip to your laptop or sit upright on your desk. There's a built-in headphone output, so you can listen as you record audio. Plus, it has two different polar pickup patterns to meet a range of recording needs. Available in black or white, there are a USB cable, a zipper case, and Music Creator software included with the Samson Go Mic.

Samson Go Mic USB Microphone at a Glance:
  • Compact design makes computer recording easy
  • Two different pickup patterns add flexibility
  • Comes with everything you need to get started

Compact design makes computer recording easy
Pair the Samson Go Mic with your laptop and you'll be ready to record whenever you want. This compact microphone can clip neatly onto the top of your laptop, so it can pick up your voice for podcasting, voiceover recording, Skype chatting, and more. Or, if you'd rather put it on the table, you can do that too - the Samson Go Mic's built-in clip makes it ready for your varying recording setups.

Two different pickup patterns add flexibility
Say you want to record podcasts one day, track your whole band the next day, then video-conference with your friend across the world - well, the Samson Go Mic is ready to handle your range of needs. That's because Samson gave this little microphone two different pickup patterns - one cardioid and one omnidirectional - so you can adjust it to suit whatever you're recording. Flip it into cardioid mode when you're recording your voice, acoustic guitar, or other close-miked instruments - this pickup pattern is tightly focused. Then, when you want to capture the whole room for podcasting sound effects, or a jam with a few friends, you can flip it into omnidirectional mode - which records from all directions.

Comes with everything you need to get started
The Samson Go Mic records CD-quality 16-bit/44.1kHz audio, and it's ready to record into your software program of choice - Mac or PC. But, if you don't already have an audio recording program, you can use the included Music Creator software. The Go Mic also includes a USB cable and a zipper case - so you'll be ready to record at home or to pack it up for field recording, from the moment you open the box.

All musical gear is a series of compromises . . . This one is does what it says that it will do. Plug and play with Garage Band. Very easy to use . . . surprisingly good sound. Lovely piece of gear... read more [+] in a solid mount as well.

It works wonderfully with Skype. The uni- and omni-directional switch is very useful and makes a big difference allowing you to get the best sound while talking to one person or a group sitting around... read more [+] in a lounge or room. I have used the Samson Zoom H2 for recording and am quite sure that the GoMic will also be just as good for someone who wants to record directly to the laptop. Another great condenser from Samson! close [-]

Surprising Performer

Music Background: Field Recordist, Narrator
While it is still a cheap mic, the audio quality is pretty good. Clearly leads the Blue Snowflake (which my GoMic has replaced) in several areas: (1) two patterns, (2) 10dB pad, (3) much better base... read more [+] design (isn't tippy) which also allows mounting on 3/8 stud, and (4) monitor jack so you can listen to yourself on headphones without latency. Is sensitive to wind and "P" popping, but that can be dealt with. Far superior to built-in laptop mics. close [-]

Our Customers Say...

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
