Reviews

The best I/O for a complicated monitoring system
Bought in 2021 for Atmos monitoring. Many monito options and source configurations including room tuning eq that can be programmed bySoundID. My initial unit did have a fail which avid did sort under warranty. It's been perfect since return / replace. Highly recommended. Spend the time to work out Dadman software. Not pretty but amazingly functional. I also use the MtRX studio to track live events - sometimes pairing it with a couple MADi interfaces for 192 I/o. I've also used the full MTRX which is incredible to the next level of I/O but the mtrx studio is enough for 90% of my gigs and more than enough for the studio.

Fantastic, flexible professional interface
I'm an audio professional and have been using the DAD products for years. Yes this is under the Avid name, but really it's made by NTP/DAD in Denmark. While it is not a plug and play interface, and Dadman software does take some time to get used to, it is incredibly flexible and power helpful for monitoring, routing, and room correction/DSP.

The TB card option is also an incredible add on for non Avid Apps and can be all monitored seamlessly and simultaneously through Dadman.

No I do not work for any audio manufacturers, I just do not want to see a quality piece of hardware from a grea company trashed.

A Beast of an interface
I installed one of these in a post room with an S4 console. This is a phenomenal interface. The sound quality is pristine, the interface is easy to set up and it is very flexible. If you are a Pro Tools user needing this flexibility of I/o and you want top-notch sound quality then this is a great choice!
God bless :)

Rock solid, one of the best IO's I've ever owned
after spending many thousands of dollars on other multi-channel IO's in the earlier days of Atmos, I am so glad this box finally came around. Bought mine as a demo and it's been a stable performer since day one. I do wish there was a serial port that I could connect my Sync-X with instead of using the old HDX card, and an RCA SPIDF would be nice. The DADMAN software does take a little bit to figure out all the routing, but with so many possible options I don't know how you'd do it differently.
Music background: 20+ years
Im in therapy now . .
I wanted this to be EVERYTHING. Purchased with an HDX card. Ive been around pro audio for a bit now and it took me hours to pass audio. Multiple calls to AVID to get the profiles to work in conjunction with their S6 console which cost $ a year to talk to a human, and still left me with more to be desired.DADMAN makes me cry more than my real dad. JK, my dad is great, however, deleting DADMAN was the greatest feeling Ive ever had. For those wondering, the MTRX requires DADMAN to control it because it doesn't work by itself. So get your comfy's on and prepare for an endless amount of time on YouTube trying to figure this hoss out.
