Impressive

I don't understand the big difference between this and lower cost SSDs, but I am impressed. It's fast. It's solid. I have a SSD C drive and my D Drive is HDD drive. My PC is fast. File transfer seems to be as fast from the external Glyph as from the SSD C Drive.

The only slight disappointment was that I was unaware of the disk cleaning required before the format. A surprise! Piece of cake though. I haven't used DOS in a quite some time, but the directions were simple and only a few steps. I only needed to do this because the Glyph drives are formatted for MACs in their testing process and I run a Windows based studio.

The disk cleaning process actually takes about 1 minute and much less time for someone who would have the commands memorized. To make sure I was cleaning the correct drive, I looked at my disk manager before I connected the Glyph to see the drives that are already present as the disk manager shows them. Then when I connected the Glyph and checked again I could count the drives and see which one was the new one. You need to make sure that you clean the correct drive. You'll lose data if you clean the wrong disk. I expect great performance and longevity from this and I don't see any indication that I'll be disappointed.

GREAT PRODUCT, PRICE AND SERVICE!

Got a great price on a 2 TB Glyph solid state drive from Chris Nunley at Sweetwater. It is much faster and quieter that my crumby seagate. Speeding through 20 years of archived audio and video with this thing. Thanks Sweetwater.
