High-definition 24-bit/192kHz performance with digital I/O and balanced analog I/O
The Audiophile 192 builds on M-Audio's Audiophile 2496 - one of the world’s most popular audio cards - and features 24-bit/192kHz resolution, digital S/PDIF I/O, balanced analog I/O on 1/4" TRS jacks and an amazing signal-to-noise ratio of -108dB at 48kHz. The digital I/O supports surround-encoded AC-3 and DTS pass-through when used with Windows XP and Mac OS X computers, so you can listen to surround audio from DVDs and encoded tracks from your audio software.

Zero-latency direct hardware input monitoring plus flexible I/O routing
Monitoring your recording is easy with the Audiophile 192's zero-latency hardware input monitoring support. The separate balanced 1/4” TRS monitor outputs can be routed to a mixer or powered speakers, whichever you need in your studio. In addition, input and output routing can be controlled via included software to provide maximum flexibility for your recording setup. And the S/PDIF digital I/O can be routed to and from external effects processors to give you even more sound shaping options.

Rock-solid drivers and compatibility with most audio software
The Audiophile 192, as with all Delta cards, gives you rock-solid drivers and seamless integration with your favorite Mac and PC applications — and even the ability to combine multiple Delta cards in one system. The Audiophile 192 comes with ASIO, WDM, GSIF 2 and CoreAudio driver support for compatibility with most software applications.

Pro Tools M-Powered compatible
With Pro Tools M-Powered and an M-Audio interface, like the Audiophile 192, you can work anywhere, anytime with the industry standard in music production software. You can open sessions created in Pro Tools M-Powered software with any Windows XP or Mac OS X Digidesign Pro Tools TDM or LE system, giving you unprecedented production options for your music. The latest version of Pro Tools M-Powered streamlines MIDI production with the introduction of Instrument Tracks, support for multi-processor use with RTAS plug-ins for increased performance, and a load of other performance-enhancing upgrades.

Don't think twice

These M-Audio cards have been great performers on five of the machines I maintain, and I am glad to see they are still available. They have way less noise than any USB rig out there, if you can open ... read more [+]the box, buy this. close [-]

I bought this card to plug in the balanced outputs from my Soundcraft Compact 4 mixer. The installation was painfree and it worked exactly as promised. The sound quality is truly exceptional with a ve... read more [+]ry easy to understand control panel.

Under Sonar 7 PE I am running the ASIO driver at 256 samples without a hickup.

I tried for 3 months to get my Alesis iO14 to do this but it bombed terribly (BEWARE - very unstable drivers! And I'm far from the only one that has had major issues).

The Audiophile 192 is a great card that delivers all that is promised. This a product you can trust. Top job M-Audio! close [-]

I use this card for dj applications, tried several other in it's price range & this one to my ears was the cleanest sounding. No problems installing, everything works & sounds great.

Great entry level balanced PCI interface

I bought the 192 to replace the Delta 1010 that I put into my new DAW PC. I love that fact that the Delta control panel is so easy to use - nothing like the complicated mess (but certainly versatile) ... read more [+]that E-mu uses for their PCI cards.

The audio quality is very good, regardless of price - I am using it to record from my home theater system and then transfer it to my main DAW for production use. The only thing I can bitch about is the lack of lightpipe (SPDIF or ADAT) optical I/O, but none of the delta series has that. I do like the fact it has both main & monitor outputs, most 2 channel cards don't include that - very handy. close [-]

Very Pro-Usable

I use the 192 to record line-level keyboard tracks into Pro Tools M-powered, and it works flawlessly- long sessions included. In headphone and studio monitor situations, any noise is way below audible... read more [+] threshhold at 24 bit resolution. You will loose precious hearing at the level that it might be detectable. Generally, the software works seamlessly with Digi's software, and our project, the SecretSystemBand, is heading in the direction of 5.1 mixing...this configuration should allow me the luxury of easy upgrade- I'll be able to work (and monitor) my surround sequence modulations in the realm of pre-production. For sure, use this type of recording setup in an over-engineered modern computer. (they are dirt cheap these days!) A very professional device, just be aware of system settings and avoid clutter- you will be rewarded with clear, trouble free performance. Oh, and use paint markers or colored vinyl tape on the break-out plugs! (hint, hint) close [-]

Our Customers Say...

My Sales Engineer is the best. If I need it tomorrow, I have it tomorrow. He makes sure everything is in order and that I'm set up right. I've spent a lot of money at other places, too, but I don't remember them calling me to make sure everything's okay.
