From Our Research Team:Your Mobile and Desktop Recording Partner! The Yamaha Audiogram6 provides impressive recording options - at a price that won't break the budget. This USB powerhouse can handle two mic/line channels and two stereo channels simultaneously, giving you a lot of flexibility when it's time to record. In addition to knobs for adjusting levels, the Audiogram6 features a one-knob compressor, so you can dial in the right sound going in - instead of within the software later. And speaking of software, you also get a copy of Cubase AI, so you can immediately start recording with the Audiogram6.Yamaha Audiogram6 USB Audio Interface at a Glance:
Record four sources at once with its flexible input options Yamaha's Audiogram6 was designed to be easy to use, but also extremely versatile. Thanks to its four different channels, you'll be equipped to record a variety of sources right at your desktop - or even out at the show. The first two channels can handle either microphones or line-level signals, so you could simultaneously record your guitar and your vocals or you could record two singers or two guitars. The other two channels can accept either 1/4" inputs or RCA inputs - so you could mix and match instruments such as a drum machine and a keyboard with an MP3 player, CD player, or old tape player. What's more, you have phantom power available on one of the mic/line inputs, so you can use the Audiogram6 with all kinds of microphones, including your favorite condensers. One-knob compressor, for conveniently dialing in your sound On the first two channels, you can take advantage of Yamaha's helpful one-knob compressor. It's a great way to tighten up a vocal line or fatten up the sound of a bass guitar - before it hits your software. Plus, it'll save you from having to bog down your computer's processing power for compression, when you get to mixing later. Outputs for your headphones and your studio monitors When you're working with your tracks, you can monitor them two different ways. The Yamaha Audiogram6 features a headphone output - perfect for listening to the metronome as you record in your acoustic guitar or a vocal part. There are also outputs for studio monitors, so you can critically listen to your tracks once they're recorded in - just what you need when it's time to mix everything down. Very portable - it's powered by your computer The Yamaha Audiogram6 doesn't need an external power supply, so it's a great solution for mobile recording - just plug it into your laptop's available USB port and you're ready to go! Includes Cubase AI recording software Get started recording right out of the box, using the Audiogram6's included Cubase AI recording software! In addition to offering powerful audio sequencing capabilities, the software features a bunch of built-in effects, so you can professionalize your tracks once you've recorded them. Do any and all Windows updates, then install the software provided, register it, and then download the newest version of Cubebase and use whatever driver it picks when it installs and you should be OK. I ended up with some latency, but the recording quality is great, Cubase AI 4 has lots of goodies, and ultimately that's what counts. close [-]
