The man behind the amps

Though Reinhold Bogner began designing and building amplifiers long before leaving Germany for the U.S. in 1989, his career really took off soon after arriving in Los Angeles. Excellent cabinet

I purchased the atma head last year and I love it. I was running it through the helios 2x12 and it sounded great paired with it. I didn't want to spend more at the time for the matching cabinet.

I changed my mind and decided to go with this cabinet since it is voiced for the atma.

It really opened up the tone of the atma. Not that it was bad. But even being an open backed cab, this little guy rocks.

I can't imagine how much better it will sound once it gets broken in. If you own the atma head treat yourself and by this thing. It's worth the price.

Looks expensive

I've never owned any Bogner gear but am blown away by how cool all his stuff looks and sounds on the reviews done by people who HAVE actually been in the same building as his gear! I mean, Jerry Cantrell's Dirt tone!! Wow! Couple all that with the fact that Reinhold is like the living embodiment of Mugatu from Zoolander (just watch the offucial video for this cabinet) and you have an unbeatable combo of style and substance! I can't wait to sell one of my less useful organs on the black market so I can afford the Atma head and cab! Rock on dudes!

Aluminum is King!

Yes, I have the Atma head, and yes I sprang for this matching Aluminum cabinet. It's something that you just have to hear on your own to understand, but this cabinet is the clearest, most defined guitar sound I have heard to date. The chosen Celestion speaker is a good match, VERY balanced. I trusted that the Bogner team wouldn't go to the trouble to deviate from wood cabinetry and R&D if they didn't think it was worth doing so, and I was right. They knew they were on to something.

I could only find one video on this cabinet, but I took a chance, and it is absolutely astounding.

I don't usually have time to write reviews (I have 3 small children), but I took out time to write this one, and that should give you a good idea of how much I am impressed with this cabinet.

Great Cabinet!

I purchased the Atma head over a year ago and have been waiting forever for this matching cabinet to become available. I was beginning to think it might never make it to market and then bam! I received a notice from Sweetwater that they were in. I missed the first round that came in but caught the next and boy, am I glad I was finally able to get one.
The cabinet is really small in size, not too heavy and looks fantastic with the head. I have used the head with a number of different cabinets and it always sounds good but paired with this cabinet, there is a definite synergy. The cabinet puts out a surprising amount of grunt for being so small and it projects really well too with a nice balanced frequency response. I was concerned that the metal outer wrap might ring or color the sound but there is no sign of any coloration at all. The workmanship, like the head and frankly, everything Bogner makes, is absolutely first-rate. Together, the head and cabinet look very sharp indeed. Though the photo does not show it, there is a very nice leather strap handle on top for carrying so it is easy to handle. Overall, I am very pleased with the combination and plan on using it for lots of small and mid-size venues. Highly recommended!

Atma 1x12 / 8 Ohm Cab

Just took delivery of this from Sweetwater. I'll start by saying I'm a BIG Bogner fan, and I've got several of Reinhold's amps and cabs in my studio, (Shiva, Goldfinger, Duende & Atma), as well as having owned a few other of his designs. One of the things I love about Bogner cabs is that they sound huge yet focused. Getting a 1x12 cab to sound like a 2x12, or a 2x12 to sound like a 4x12 is no small feat IMO. And this cab is no exception. Top it off with the fact that it's made of Aluminum, (with a Baltic Birch Baffle), and I was very surprised at how big this cab sounds.

One of the issues I've had with other "lunch-box" amps is that they tend to sound small or boxy...not this cab. It's very well made, and unlike the pics on the website, it has a nice stitched leather handle on top, rubber feet mounted on the bottom and it's got a ported back covered with Comet Tolex. Anyway, this amp & cab combination is another home-run for Bogner. Yes....the price is something to think twice at, but if you want the perfect cab, (light, bullet proof, great sounding), for your Atma, this is something to really consider.
