Mackie is a Proven Leader in Analog Mixers

Beyond sounding great, the Mackie 802VLZ4 mixer is one piece of gear you can truly rely on. It continues the VLZ Series' trend for rock-solid construction, while taking your sound quality to a new level. You've got an amazingly wide dynamic range, incredible 60dB gain range on the Onyx microphone preamplifiers, and ultra-low-noise performance. The 802VLZ4 also boasts better-than-ever RF rejection for prime performance in broadcast situations. And with high-resolution meters, generous I/O, and sealed rotary controls that keep out dust and grime, the Mackie 802VLZ4 is one of Mackie's best mixers ever.

Mackie 802VLZ4 8-channel Mixer at a Glance:
  • Premium-quality mixer with proven components
  • Sealed rotary controls ensure long-term reliability
  • Incredible sound quality
Premium-quality mixer with proven components

The Mackie 802VLZ4 is, first and foremost, a Mackie mixer. It houses three of Mackie's premium-quality Onyx mic preamps for natural, transparent sound, and three stereo channels. Its mic/line channels are equipped with a 3-band EQ. Signal routing is easy and flexible. On top of all that, the Mackie 802VLZ4 is built Mackie-tough - trust this mixer to perform even in the most harrowing situations.

Sealed rotary controls ensure long-term reliability

Sure, the Mackie 802VLZ4 mixer will shrug off bumps, drops, and outright abuse, but what about spills or rain? Thankfully, the 802VLZ4 boasts sealed rotary controls that resist grime, dust, and anything else that may spill onto your mixer. We're not saying it's fully waterproof, but it's an extra level of protection you'll eventually be very glad you have when you're running live sound in a hectic environment.

Incredible sound quality

VLZ stands for "very low noise", and that's just part of the appeal of the Mackie 802VLZ4 mixer. In all you've got a 128.5dB dynamic range, making it easy to achieve full, punchy mixes. The Onyx mic preamps have a 60dB gain range, so you can get the best out of virtually any microphone. And because the 802VLZ4's line inputs handle +22 dBu signal levels, you can connect high-output sound sources without worrying about distorting your inputs.

Mackie 802VLZ4 8-channel Mixer Features:
  • Amazingly rugged analog mixer with three microphone preamplifiers and three stereo channels
  • Onyx mic preamps offer up to 60dB of gain for great performance with any mic
  • Ultra-low-noise performance gives you clean, clear sound
  • High-resolution stereo meters give you fast, easy visual indication of your signal levels
  • Sealed rotary controls resist dust and grime

It's hard to beat the sound and performance of the Mackie 802VLZ4!

Reviews

Excellent Source Summing
I use this to sum 3 audio sources for my computer desk. It is analog only, you wont route your mic through it to your laptop, but for summing sound going out it can't be beat. High quality item. Amazing sound on top of mt jds element IV. Excellent addition to my audio chain. Love having an analog only end to my audio chain even if its mostly digital going in.

very good
I live in Georgia, I practically do not know English and therefore the text is translated via google translate.
sweetwater is a very good seller.
The mixer arrived in the best packaging so as not to be damaged during transportation.
This mixer is exactly what I needed for a home studio: I did not want the mixer to have effects (I do not need that in the mixer), I wanted the volume of the individual channels to be not a creepy but a spinner (so less resistor dust) and most importantly, it is the only one in small mixers , Which has a separate, individual channel volume mute button. It was very desirable to me.
The mixer itself works very well and the option that was sent to me, its power supply operates at 110 to 240 volts so that it can be boldly subscribed by Europeans as well.

simple and clean
Great little mixer. Very clean sounding. Very high output compared to the last few I've had. Love the mute buttons which aren't on many mixers at this price point
Music background: DJ and Karoke
Simple, straightforward, built to last.
I needed a small soundboard for smaller sized business seminars that required 2 mics and an audio line for video presentations. This little Mackie is proving to be a good fit for these types of events. Paired with a set of Mackie Thump 16 Speakers, it does what I expect of it with no issues. It's built with very solid construction and is a simple no frills board for basic needs. A colleague of mine accidentally ran over one of these boards at a job sight. It messed up the knobs a little bit but didn't kill it. It's a tough little board. While I don't recommend rough treatment on these boards (I'm very careful with mine) I am pretty confident in its durability.
Best Compact Mixing Console I've Ever Used
"But how many compact mixing consoles have you used?" Oh, 30 or 40. I've used A LOT of compact mixing consoles and, mostly because I'm cheap, I've avoided Mackie UNTIL NOW. Here's the thing, this is not one of those cases where I'm paying more to get what I want, it's a prime example of getting exactly what I paid for. Why? Because this mixer is awesome. Things I like: both XLR and dual 1/4 main outs, 3-band EQs on every channel, Aux sends on every channel, the ability to pre/post the aux, and MUTE BUTTONS! All of this in a console that fits neatly in my BACKPACK so I can tote it to bar trivia or karaoke or DJ gigs with an insane amount of ease. So yeah, feature packed, compact, and OH BY THE WAY: the sound that comes out of this board is as clean and shapeable as I've ever found. So yeah, to sum up: I love everything about this mixing console and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a highly-functional compact unit.
