We find the right case for you!

Sweetwater started the Certified Fit case program to take the uncertainty and frustration out of trying to find the right case for your guitar. Instead of relying on measurements and specs, the Sweetwater Guitar Gallery techs personally test guitars with different cases to see how they match. If it's a great fit that we would trust our instruments with, then it's a Certified Fit. When you get a new guitar, matching it with a Certified Fit case takes the guesswork out of the equation.

What makes a Certified Fit?

So how do we determine whether a case is a Certified Fit for a particular instrument? It all begins in the Sweetwater Guitar Gallery, where we put every instrument we receive through a 55-point Inspection, as well as a photo session. The Guitar Gallery team has spent countless hours placing a huge range of guitars in different cases and analyzing the results. We're musicians too, so we pay special attention to how well the case fits, not just if it fits.

Protecting your investment.

To qualify as a Certified Fit, we look at many different things. Most importantly, we make sure that the headstock does not have any contact with the bottom or the lid of the case and that there are no gaps between the neck and the case's neck rest. This ensures that the neck is supported properly, the case isn't coming into contact with the tuning machines, and that the case's built-in shock absorption can work as intended.

A case you can trust.

If we confirm all the above and there is little to no instrument movement when the case is closed, then we double-check a few more things before calling it a Certified Fit. Specifically, we make sure the case is not applying excessive force to critical components. That means no excessive pressure on the bridge and top for acoustic instruments, and to the knobs and switches on electric instruments.
