Killer EQ for Mixing and Mastering!

The elysia museq plug-in 5-band stereo equalizer makes serious sound shaping easy. Switchable highpass and lowpass filters let you effectively cut out swathes of frequencies you don't really need to access, whereas the onboard Warm Mode provides a subtle harmonic boost that's great for taking off the sterile edge digital recordings tend to suffer from. Three overlapping middle frequency bands offer variable resonance modes with plenty of overlap, so you can pull off those boost/cut tricks veteran engineers at Sweetwater love so much. You also get a streamlined Mix version of museq, which lets you save processor power when you EQ individual tracks.

This plug-in version of the elysia museq was painstakingly designed to deliver the exact sound and functionality of the original hardware model. With its 100% discrete topology and pristine signal path, this meant taking a component-to-component approach at times, which resulted in a plug-in that captures all of the musical circuitry interaction of the original museq. What's more, things like the museq's switchable band resonance and 23-step gain control with its boost/cut switch give you kind of control you'd expect from a real studio EQ.

One of the major advantages to creating a plug-in version of the museq is that it allowed elysia to add fun creative tools that would have been impossible (or simply not cost effective) to include in the original hardware. For instance, elysia tossed in Brainworx's amazing Mid-Side processing, which lets you better define the sound of your mixes stereo information and center channel, resulting in a clearer overall sound. They also took this opportunity to add stereo channel linking and extra gain controls, providing you with more and better ways to put the sound of this incredible equalizer to work in your studio.

Technically, museq comes with licenses for two versions of the plug-in emulation, the full mastering version and a streamlined mix version. The mix version of museq is a single-channel processor with all of the main functions of the mastering version left intact. However, since it draws about half the CPU load as the mastering version, this stripped down plug-in makes an ideal channel EQ for all of your tracks.
