Having received high acclaim for the Vienna Symphonic Library Solo Woodwinds, VSL felt compelled to create the Horizon Series Woodwind Ensembles, implementing the same exhaustive use of their unique Performance Elements. Their pristine sound, as well as the artistic performances, will live up to the high standards professional composers have come to expect from VSL libraries. The Horizon Series Woodwind Ensembles are distinguished by their exceptional flexibility, and they lend themselves well to instrumentations for both two and three musicians.

As an innovation in the Horizon Series Woodwind Ensembles VSL has included cluster sounds for contemporary orchestration. Additionally, you can achieve dense, broad and varied woodwind sounds by combining the Woodwind Ensembles with the Solo Woodwinds of the First and Pro Editions, or the Horizon Series’ Opus 1. Furthermore, the Woodwind Ensembles offer the ideal solution to create the perfect balance between strings, brass, and woodwinds in large orchestras.
