ReviewsWell Engineered and Executed

This is an extremely well engineered stand. Very few stands this sturdy will also fold up this compactly and so quickly. Someone at Roland was really thinking on this one. I have been playing keyboard... read more [+]s for over 20 years and this is by far my favorite gigging stand. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I would like a better built-in mic stnad solution. close [-]

This stand adds alot in terms of looks to my keyboard rig. Its just cooler looking then the conventional x stand. Lots of extra foot space, I dont hit my knees on the legs anymore. It sets up quickly,... read more [+] folds into a compact unit and holds a 70 keyboard with ease. Those are the good things...December 30, 2007 Music Background: pro musician Here are the things that could be better: -Some parts of this stand are plastic that should be metal. Mainly the cups that support the arms that hold up the keyboard. I could break this stand alot easier than I could my old metal stand. (if not using 2nd tier ignore this) I bought the second tier attachment and it adds a level of complication to this stand. You have to un hook both left and right second tier or else the stand wont fold up. It takes about 2 minutes to set up when my old stand took about 30 seconds. Now I have 3 seperate pieces I have to worry about as opposed to one big metal stand. - Lots of little parts that could be broken or lost. I almost want to bring a back up stand on the road just incase I lose a knob and cant use the second tier. -When keyboards are on it its harder to move than my old stand. More moving parts, so after the opening band is off stage and I have to pull my rig from side stage to middle, it takes a little more skill. No big deal. Overall I like this stand alot, and I happy I bought it. close [-] Ultimate Support V-Stand

The stands are gorgeous as long you do not plan to tour with them OR you are not the rodie. They fit well in their bag (that got broken after a month as well) but the accesories for the second level do not fit, so is a bulky system after all. Not to mention that as the tubes were bended from factory I got a pair that is not perfectly leveled. In my opinion, if you want to look good get the stands, all the good things are true. But every plastic accessory has to be made out of steal to make it worth it. Is like having a Lamborgini Diablo on duck tape on the bumper.. close [-]
