Most convenient wireless system out there

By Solomon Pausuan from Philadelphia on December 8, 2023 Music Background: Music teacher. Multi instrumentalist.

I have been using this for about 3 years. Very versatile and portable. I gave my friend as a gift. This is my second one. I can't live without this.

Great to be wireless

By Sweetwater Customer from Ohio on November 10, 2023 Music Background: Music teacher. Singer and rhythm guitar in a 5 member 60s and 70s Classic Hits Cover Band

I have had the Xvive wireless system with 2 transmitters for a couple of years now. No A/B switch for 2 instruments(guitar and uke) and the ability to move around. They hold their charge for a 3 hour gig. I don't wander too far from the Board but so far have had no problem with range. Recently I purchased another set with one transmitter for my husband. He plays the slaptop cajon with a strap. He likes to stand and move around a bit and so far they work great!

I needed this a long time ago

By Curtis from Maryland on May 19, 2023 Music Background: Years of open mic's

I havnt really tried to see how far I can get from the amp but Im a play at home guy these days so range wont be a factor. This eliminates cables and Im thrilled with that. They work great.

Wireless freedom

By Sweetwater Customer on April 21, 2023

XVive wireless guitar system works flawlessly even if you are playing with other people that have the same system. If you have any crossover simply pick a different channel. Plug in, verify your units are on the same channel and play! It's that simple!

So far, so good

By Sweetwater Customer from MI on April 9, 2023

If it breaks during a gig, I'll probably hate it, but the system is working great so far. It's weird at first not to worry about cables--the phantom guitar cord syndrome is real!--but once you get used to to being unencumbered, the experience is liberating. The sound quality is remarkable, btw.

Favorite Guitar Wireless

By Don from Florida on March 3, 2023 Music Background: Playing guitar since 1964

These are the best guitar wireless system I've used. Unless you are playing arenas with a 200 ft. wide stage, these have more than enough range. I've gotten at least 80 ft. straight line from the stage with no problem. I have been using the Xvive U2 system since I first learned about it, and this is my fourth transmitter/receiver pair. The ability to change channels is handy, as our bass player now uses the U2 system. I take three guitars out when the band plays (Strat, Tele, & acoustic), so leave all three on the same channel, with one receiver plugged into the tuner on the pedal board. Just turn off the transmitter of the guitar you're putting down, and turn on the one you're strapping on. Although battery life is really good, I have gotten in the habit of swapping out the receiver at the end of each set. Sound quality is great and the signal never drops out as long as you have battery life. A couple of mine are like 5 years old, and the battery will still last three hours. When I think back to all the expensive belt packs, 9-volt batteries, and bad guitar-to-transmitter cables, I'm sure glad the Xvive system has come along. I also use the in-ear-monitor system, and it's great to have your own mix. Get the Xvive U2 - it's worth it!

Just what I wanted

By Stephen Landress from Navarre, FL on September 17, 2022

I have yet to play this on a gig but I've used it in practice and it works quite well. I bought it to go from my pedalboard to my amp while my Shure UHF system will go from my guitar to the pedalboard. I'm looking forward to my first gig with it. I won't have any wires to step on or trip over. The sound quality is great and there's little to no latency. At least no latency that I can hear. I would buy again and I probably will.

Life Changer1

By Sweetwater Customer from WA on July 5, 2021

I bought these for my husband who is the bass player for our band. He loves not being tethered to one small space on the stage and he can walk around the room during soundcheck and work with our sound guy when needed. We haven't noticed any latency issues at all and they are quick and easy to charge. Will definitely buy these again for my guitar.

So Great!

Why did I never put together the change to do this before. Great suggestion, great service, Sweetwater and T J!

Cut the Cord with confidence

By Carm Vecchio from Fort Worth, Texas on March 23, 2021 Music Background: Experienced musician for over 50 years

I bought the Xvive Audio U2 Digital Wireless Guitar System - Silver for live gigging because cords are a hassle. I use mine with Gibson, Martin, and Epiphone acoustic guitars with piezo, transducer, and magnetic systems, Gibson, Fender, Epiphone and G&L electric guitars with Humbucker, single coil, and split coil pickups, and a Thunderbird bass. The sound reproduction is undistorted without interference, even in rooms with hundreds of cell phones. Both units charge totally in under an hour on a single iPad charger. My shows are 3 hours and no battery issues. Also play three weekly church services with a run thru, almost 5 hours, without battery issues.

My favorite thing about being cordless is the freedom of no wires getting in the way. I also love being able to walk out into a room or auditorium, an hear the sound from the audience perspective and check the actual mix.

Cut the cord!

So far, so good

By Ryan from Mount Vernon, WA on March 22, 2021

I purchased a cheaper wireless system that ultimately I returned because of cracking and popping noises. The Xvive audio U2 system sounds clear to me. It plays well with my electric guitar and the Fishman system on my acoustic. I was amazed at the distance I could get from my amp and still get a clear response. I highly recommend it.

Very pleased

By Sweetwater Customer on December 12, 2020

I am very happy with my purchase
Works great and has great range the sound quality is awesome
I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends

Nice to have freedom from cables

By Sweetwater Customer on June 25, 2020

I play mostly at home but I am enjoying to freedom of not being chained to a guitar cable. I have noticed no discernible difference in sound between using cables or using the Xvive system. I don't move very far from my amp, so I can't say how these would be in a live stage setting. For me, though, they work great.

Small and sweet

By Mike Thompson from Philadelphia on April 6, 2020 Music Background: Play guitar bass some drums some keys write my own music and record it also .

Gigging with the Xvive

By Tim Foster from Albany, Oregon on December 23, 2019 Music Background: 50 years guitar/keys rock/funk/jazz

45+ years gigging and 55 years of playing and I’m finally free of cords! Used the Xvive on 2 winery gigs so far and they performed perfectly! I play in a 4 piece 50’s&60’s cover band. I got out front several times and had no drop out or latency problems. Batteries held their charge for the ~4 hrs. that I used them each show. Function and charging are great! I highly recommend these! I’ve been a Sweetwater customer for almost 12 years and have always had a great experience with them!

Great addition to our sous system.

By Sweetwater Customer from Prescott Valley, AZ on December 1, 2019

After I purchased a set of these and the other band members tried them
2 more guys bought them. They work great and definitely allow us to move away from the mics. Super buy, you can't go wrong.

So far so great!

By DANIEL MICHAEL KENNEDY on September 18, 2019

I've been using it for bass and its amazing.

Xvive Audio U2 Wireless

By Billy from Northern Illinois on August 31, 2019 Music Background: Four piece cover band

Got these to eliminate the miles of cords and cables our 4 piece band has seemed to expand into. I was concerned that they wouldn"t work with my Godin A6 Ultra, but both jacks, the humbucker and the transducer perform great with no loss of tone or signal delay. Solid on my Strat and LP as well. The road test starts tonight to test gig worthiness.

Love this system! No more tripping over cables and no complicated setup.

Xvive U2 wireless guitar system

By Terry from Maryland on July 18, 2019 Music Background: Beginner

This is my second set , I bought for a friend , because I liked them so much . They work very well , as advertised , and free me up from being tethered to my amp . My friend is also my guitar teacher and he has been in the music business for many years , he was impressed as well . Now we can play together and don"t get tangled up in cords every time we turn around or move about when practicing . I think the price is right too. Very reasonable for the freedom they provide . I couldn"t be happier with them .

These are great

By Jim from Vista, ca on July 15, 2019 Music Background: Advanced amateur

This is my second set of these. I use one set for the connection from my ukulele to my pedal board, and the other from the pedal board to the amp. I love getting rid of the wires. Moving around is easy. No tangles. Battery life has been good. It lasts through a three hour set.

Wireless

By Erik on October 3, 2023 Music Background: Guitarist, writer, producer @House of Berry Productions

I've been needing a wireless because I'm starting to play bigger stages and this one was recommended by several people in the business. I'd say it does its job well for the price range but the signal starts dropping out at about 30-40 feet, a bit short of 70ft. Other than the range not living up to expectations it delivers a great signal and has multiple channels available. Our bass player uses a wireless and we have three wireless microphones on this stage with zero interference and that is a plus.

Pretty good but need better battery life

By Sweetwater Customer on March 15, 2023

Had this pair for about a year now. Great for jamming in small rooms where cables are everywhere and you don't have much room to move around band mates. Reception is great. Never had an issue. Even with my other acoustic electrict on a separate pair and channel.

They are good for a 2 hour session but don't last for 3 hours so you need to recharge them when you take a break. They advertise 5 hours but that must be just plugging in and not playing.

The system is simply awesome but beware of acoustic guitars

By Victor from California on September 6, 2019 Music Background: Play acoustic, electric and MIDI guitars for nearly 20 years!

Concur with everything others have already said about this fabulous and wonderfully-designed system.
I was very disappointed to learn that the transmitters produced a high-pitch hiss when plugged into any of my acoustic guitars (that happen to have active pickups). This was not pointed out in any of the materials that I have read on the Internet.
The only way I found to get around the "hiss issue" is to plug the transmitter into a DI box or another pedal. However, the acoustic guitar and the pedal will have to be connected via a cable.
XVive works great with electric guitars though!

Finally an Easy Wireless System

By D Storm from Florida USA on November 22, 2022 Music Background: Professional Musician

The U2 system will fit the bill for most players seeking to go wireless. It is easy to set up, small and lightweight and has decent sound. The range will be ok for all but the biggest stages and the 4 channels should prevent interference. It will not fit on guitars with a recessed jack such as a Fender Strat without an extension cable. The company claims a 4 hour runtime but I have run it longer when shutting off between sets. The dual charging cable is a nice touch and the unit charges pretty quickly. The frequency range is very good and the sound quality is OK but I have found that it compresses louder passages slightly. It tracks volume changes well and stays crisp during soft passages. I have experienced some minor drop outs while playing but they are probably only noticeable to me. A channel change seems to help. Overall I like the system and it has replaced my bulky rackmount system. And the price is right too!

They work sometimes.....but cannot be counted on.

By DL from Ankeny, IA on January 20, 2023 Music Background: 30 + years playing guitar

I bought these, loved them at first. However I noticed when I would practice with my band they would cut out a lot. I thought at first maybe they needed to be charged, but it happens on a full charge. Pretty disappointing and not something I would recommend for live use. I cannot count on them so are pretty much useless to me.

Not happy

By Marty Pushkar from Indiana on November 4, 2021

When I finally got these to work, the sound was not clean and they would cut out at times. I had all electric devices around me turned off but still had problems.

Disappointed

By Ken shanks on September 9, 2021

I used these for about 2 years then started getting static at louder volumes. Went back to my cord and no problems. I'm looking for a better wireless system without breaking the bank.

Absolute Garbage!
