Focal Trio11 Be 10-inch Powered Studio Monitor Reviews
The Focal Trio11 Be has created quite a stir here at Sweetwater. Here's why: Aside from the fact that it's a Focal product (a de facto guarantee of reference-grade performance), the Focal Trio11 Be offers a number of benefits that may not be apparent at first glance. A 3-way design with a 1" tweeter, a 5" woofer, and a 10" subwoofer, the Trio11 Be delivers stunningly accurate reproduction of the audio spectrum from 30Hz to 40kHz (±3dB), resolving even the most minute details. Its circular midrange-tweeter housing may be rotated for either horizontal or vertical orientation. But here's where it gets really interesting: in Focus mode (which you can trigger remotely), the Trio11 Be operates as a two-way speaker, employing only the 5" driver and the tweeter and limiting frequencies to between 90Hz and 20kHz — ideal for checking the quality of your mix on playback systems with limited frequency response.

The Best
This speaker can hear all clear frequencies with deep basses. It's incredible. I recommend it 100%. It's true that they are expensive, but it's worth it if you want to listen to them.
Stunning and Magical Sound
If six stars were possible...
These speakers are incredible. Pretty much perfect. I ordered a pair of the Solo6 Be"s and was seriously blown away by the bass response. I have been involved in pro-audio for over thirty years and I thought I knew the relationship between woofer size and low-end capability.
Nope. Those little things were thumping - accurately - for days.
One catch: My room was waaaaaay too big for them. The setup I was using had them too far away and room noice was an issue.
I talked with Aric (exception help, by the way) and ordered a pair of the Trio11 Be"s. My plan was to either not be blown away (and keep the Solo6"s as "damned good enough) or be totally floored (and ship the Solo"s back).
These Trio"s are HUGE and heavy. Rock solid.
Out of the box, they sounded like... God.
Totally blown away.
The amplification in the cabinets is as incredible and purely perfect as the speakers.
My theory: I just bought a pair of $30K Focal speakers AND got three stunningly high-quality Naim power-Amos in the bargain.
Oh, and I couldn"t part with the Solo"s so they are now my bedside audio system. Schweeeeet.
