Very powerful
This speaker has impressed me for the price
Great value for the money
Is it great when you buy something and you get exactly what you expect to get. Great value for the money. It does exactly what I needed to do. I am not a sound engineer by far but I'm very satisfied with what I'm getting and what I'm doing and it seems like everyone that listens to these monitor speakers. Enjoy them very much.
Alto Pro TX312 Speaker
This is a Great Speaker at a Great Price. Plenty of Power and Bottom End. Thanks to Greg Savino for always steering me in the right direction !!!
Great decision
I love my new monitor, it does everything I needed to do for me a lot of base for my drums. Good on stage and also in the basement or garage. What a great and affordable floor monitor.
EXCELLENT!!
Bought two of these to go with a TS315S Sub for an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. Worked perfectly. Used an XR12 as mixer. They have a ton of power and you can really push with the XR software. Hooked up directly from iPad is still great sound, but more limited because of EQ, compression, exc. Very pleased with these!
"Bang for the Buck" POWERED Speaker
The Alto TX312 Powered Speaker is a great value for the price. I've been very pleased and surprised by it's sound & versatility so far. These are ABSOLUTELY worth considering for a variety of applications. Highly recommended!
Decent speaker
This speaker so far has been all I have needed for my duo. With my mixer it handles two mic's and I have run the drum machine and other instruments without issues though so far although the events have been small and quiet indoor gigs for a duo... Next summer when we play outside will give me a better idea of how well this works or if I need a powered bass bin...
Sweetwater Service is awesome
Kurt Martin had these speakers at my door in two days. I like these speakers. They sound good and are lightweight. Thanks Kurt for your help.
Shell Traver
I like it
Hey it does a great job for the money. Sounds good to me! Very impressed. Clean sound, fair punch. No complaints. Lite to carry. I also have some eights and 15s. I put them all together. Solid sound.
Excellent performance for the weight and size.
Grabbed this as soon as it was available. Had it for a couple of weeks now and have played out with it. I'm in a duo with backing tracks, Bass,Drums and I play guitar and sing to those. This really does the job for me. Lightweight, minimal controls and it's all good. Because I love volume (I'm in a 4 piece classic rock band too) I am going to grab one more :).I find the 12" speaker setup works great for the backing tracks as in, not being muddy. Price is well within reason.Had a sub hooked up but really don't need it after all.
Alto is usually good, but this misses the mark
Speaker is not loud at all. Sound is muddy - unless you EQ it on your board, you get little high-end out of it. At a 350w rating it should be much louder. I have a 400w 12" powered speaker (also Alto brand) and it is much clearer and louder. I plan on returning this one - my first piece of Alto gear I am unhappy with! Additional note - cannot me used as a wedge monitor. For some reason, they changed the body shape of their speakers...so you cannot lie it on it's side and use as a floor monitor.
Had To Eat It
First off, this speaker was usable, though woofy and bass heavy, especially for vocals. Unfortunately for me, barely one year after purchase, and very light use (it left the house once) it began cutting out after being on for 30 minutes or so, even with no active signal. I was asked by Sweetwater service to make a video highlighting the problem, then, after accomplishing this, was told they did not need that and I would have to ship unit back, at my expense; also any return shipping to be at my expense. For a $200, 30 pound item... hmmm. So, voiding the warranty, I poked around inside, saw nothing obvious (I am not a tech but can usually spot a bad solder joint or loose connector) put it back together, same symptoms. I now have a large paper weight. I guess I can salvage the woofer and see how it sounds in a bass cab or something.
