Bangers!
I am a college professor who trains audio engineers. I wanted a small platform top cabinet that was flexible and powerful enough for most gigs. I do not regret purchasing the TS410 speakers. They are clean enough to cover my sonic needs and have have enough headroom to throw hard to the back row! Price point is amazing for such a powerful package.
Great Monitor Wedge
This is my second Alto speaker. It is smaller than the first one I bought and there is a great improvement for me - the angle of the wedge when turned sideways is greater and than the older model which makes it more directly facing the musician or vocalist. Plenty of power and I'm a happy customer!
10" LOUT
No 1. I own these and purchased them here at Sweetwater. I have these paired up with either my Turbo Sound Milan 18" for big venues or my new QSC KS112 sub for medium venues and these sound WAY nice. The sub's do the dirty work so I do not rely on these to pump the bass necessarily, these focus on the Mids and highs. They pump and I am a fan. Not heavy, fit in the Gator duffle speaker bag perfect, have features that other far more expensive units don't have, BT pairing, USB Charging, Mic pre-amp, Sub crossover presets, Eq presets and wireless speaker link (pair to another TS410). I hope these last as I am very happy with them. They are Loud and as I like to say, They are LOUT!.
The best bang for the buck
I will start this review by saying I am a picky SOB. I have cycled through so many options of gear, speakers, systems, etc. and I can say with total confidence that these speakers are without a doubt the best sounding speakers in this price range I can find. Loud, clear, handle any genre of music I put to them without bottoming out on bass. The Bluetooth system syncs the speakers together easily, as well as the pairing with any device. MY ONLY GRIPE, and its not even enough for me to take away any star rating, is the volume button for the Bluetooth is an infinitely spinning knob. You really never know where you are at visually since the knob just keeps spinning, but to that I say max out the volume and just use the volume on your device for control.
So Far, So Good
I used a pair of the TS410's for vocal reinforcement with medium size concert bands. The coverage was surprisingly even in a fan shaped auditorium. No "hole" in the center. Alto's have a pleasing warm sound to my ear and had the power to keep the vocals on top. I'm curious to see how they perform with the 17 piece big bands that I work with. I haven't experimented with the speaker EQ settings yet. I used my mixer's main EQ. Adding a subwoofer will be a future purchase in order to get the added punch and low end needed for bass guitar, kick drum, etc. But so far I'm happy.
Versatile, Clear Sound for Cheap
I bought two of these to use as floor monitors for a band playing funk, jazz, and pop. As floor monitors, they are absolutely excellent. We used them on a gig and the sound was very clear, never any fear of clipping. Also, while they wouldn't be my first choice as mains, these would get the job in a pinch. The bluetooth functionality is very useful, and while I don't personally have much use for the app for eq, it's nice to have. Also, very nice to have line and mic level settings on the speakers if you ever wanted to use them as a portable PA without a mixer. All in all, definitely something to consider if you need inexpensive monitors, or just versatile speakers.
410 A DUD
BOUGHT THIS 410 TO USE WITH MY ZOOM G6 & AS A STAGE MONITOR. HAD THIS ON 9.5 & WAS STRUGGLING TO HEAR IT. MY PARTNER HAD THE HEAD RUSH ON THE OTHERSIDE OF THE STAGE & i COULD HEAR HIM FINE. RETURNED THIS & JUST GOT THE HEADRUSH, ON 2 ITS LOUDER THAN THE 410 ON 9.5 . ANYONE THAT SAYS THEY ARE THE SAME IS NOT BEING HONEST....
