The latest entry in the Event series is the Tuned Reference 8XL. The Event 8XL model uses the same driver components as in the original TR8 system, but features a powerful new amplifier. Event's Tuned Reference 8XL also incorporates a high-performance power transformer that gives the Event Tuned Reference 8XL superior electrical and mechanical noise characteristics. The Event Tuned Reference 8XL is precision-tuned to provide flat frequency response and uncolored sound to ensure that your mixes will translate accurately to other playback systems. Also, the Event Tuned Reference 8XL's are shielded for use near computer monitors.

The end result is a high-powered professional reference monitor that continues Event's long-standing tradition of providing "mixes you can trust" monitoring.

“I love these monitors.....they are however heavy on the bass. The high end and mid-range sound accurate, however sometimes how heavy the bass is will muddy up the mid-range vocals. I mix Electronic music so I love the bass, but when I need to get an accurate read I test it on my 5.1 surround sound system and I'm usually using my Sony MDR-7506's to monitor anyway.
