Mesa/Boogie Stowaway Compact Input Buffer Reviews
The Mesa/Boogie Stowaway compact pedalboard input buffer sends the signal your amplifier needs for a direct-in feel and sound, even through long pedalboard runs. The Stowaway effectively corrects any signal load and impedance mismatches presented by involved pedal setups and extended cable runs. And it is engineered with 100% discrete Class A circuitry with RFI filtering for the cleanest possible signal. Take it from the players at Sweetwater - add the Mesa/Boogie Stowaway compact input pedalboard buffer to your signal chain, and you'll notice how it makes your inactive pedals seem to disappear.

Love my Mesa Boogie Stowaway Buffer
It auto balances the Impedance so no matter how many pedals you add or remove it figures that out.
The amps sound new, fresh, crisp. The other guitarist in our band uses them also!
My favorite pedal in my signal chain!
Mesa/Boogie Stowaway Compact Input Buffer
Great buffer. Works best being placed in the very front of your pedal chain. Small and strait forward. Input/ output. No button to disengage. No need to if your not using fuzz pedals. I use one Fortin fuzz pedal toward the end of my chain. And noticed very little difference in fuzz pedal. I have a large pedalboard 20 plus pedals and I use this buffer in the front and a different in the rear of the chain. I can use this buffer in the last position if needed. But Mesa/ Boogie makes a buffer designed for that application. Sweetwater has that buffer also. Can be used in middle of pedal chain with great clarity. Great buffer. Especially for the price. JHS also has a micro buffer that is high quality. And small. Also can be purchased at Sweetwater. Great tech team.

Great small buffer
I don't have much room left on my Pedal Board Jr with all my pedals. However I noticed when I A/B going straight to my Fender Twin and through my board that I was losing high's. I thought my Boss pedal with buffer would be enough but it didn't do what was needed. This little buffer fit nicely on my pedal board and it added the sparkle that I was missing. Looks great, and it does the job you want it to for a decent price.
Highly recommend it.
good for pedalboards without a buffer
this was put to the test at a show in a bar that was notorious for single coil interference. my amp was dead silent when I needed it to be ( I couldn't use my wah at this bar), and there was no cb radio coming through. that worked out great. what I wasn't expecting was the change in tone with this unit in the pedal board chain. in the manual it says if you have certain fuzz effects, or in my case a real tube pedal, the change from high impedance to low impedance could effect the sound. it took away from the "tubiness" of the sound. also if you have boss pedals many of them are already buffered, so it makes the sound almost too bright. liked it but I won't have it on my board for now, I like the sound of the 12au7 pre-amp pedal too much.
