Hope Yamaha never stops making these units

By StringBabe from Boston, MA on April 10, 2024 Music Background: Professional

Highly recommend for musicians/DJ's who want great sound, features, portability, easy set up, and LIGHT WEIGHT !

Have the 600BT and used extensively for several years , for outside gigs of 150-200 , inside gigs/bars/house concerts, etc. now without ANY problems. I'm using for solo and with a 3 piece band of 2 acoustic's, 2 vocals, Drummer.

I'm a petite gal and this set up is easy for me to move/set up. The pole type (any brand) is still too much for me to move to a gig. The single one base pole units are about 40 lbs.(I weigh 80lbs...so no...can't move it)

The Stagepas can be moved in 3 light weight pieces. The mixer (approx 6lbs) goes in a backpack with mic's cables,& accessories. The speakers are separate (approx 25 lbs),easy to load into the car. Guitar(s) & Stagepas are loaded onto a lightweight rolling cart and off I go to the gig. EASY ! Plan to buy another for larger venues.

Perfect for my needs!

By Casey Smith from Parker, CO on July 6, 2023 Music Background: Professional DJ, Guitar and Bass Enthusiast

I am a professional wedding DJ that was looking for a remote solution for ceremonies and cocktail hour without having to bring the "big gear" outside and have it ready for the dancing. I had a different PA system in mind but after discussing my needs with John Castro (my sales rep) he helped to point me in the direction of this Yamaha system and it didn't disappoint! Plenty loud for ceremony music and cocktail hour and the microphone for the officiant sounded fantastic! I even plugged my acoustic guitar in for fun and that sounded great as well! John Castro has been my sales rep for YEARS and has always taken care of my for my personal and professional needs for gear. He is knowledgable and genuine and has always given great advice on what I am looking for. Thank you John and Sweetwater!

This is the Way

By Miggs from MAryland on June 17, 2022 Music Background: Singer/Songwriter

I have owned the Yamaha Stagepass 400BT for 3 years now- I was able to purchase the systems complete with the roller bag additional speaker stands, mic stand and bags. TOTALLY WORTH IT!
I am a solo singer/songwriter (or at least attempt to be, ha) and have played with others as well using this system. The 400BT is quick and easy to set up - tear down and makes as a great sounding PA system for multiple environments. I have been able to entertain bars, marina's and house parties with up to 150 people using this setup. And the Bluetooth is an amazing addition. Like any other system you do notice some drop-off in sounds after about 50 feet - but it still sounds greats.
With the range of about 30-50 ft depending on what is in between the system and myself, it gives me the availability to run music during my set breaks.
I am looking into getting into a more pronouned PA system to give a little more creativity - but if you're lookin' for something small, compact, with great sound - THIS IS THE WAY.

AWESOME SOUND AND QUALITY

By Choclodite on March 9, 2022

A very easy unit to hook up and start using right out of the box. Very durable, great sound, and the mixer is awesome with plenty of inputs and control. The bluetooth is incredible and connects very easily. I had the Behringer unit and even thought that one had a little more output and better bass response, this one is more compact and takes up less space in the car. the mixing board snaps into the back of one of the speakers while the other one holds the speaker wires and power cord. I was happy after purchasing this. It's more expensive than the Behringer, but the quality seems better and the mixing board is easier to use. I think the reverb response is pretty decent and compares to the Behringer. I'm really happy about this purchase. The durability is worth the extra money.

Everything we didn't know we needed!

By Chris from Anoka, MN on May 27, 2021

I was going to purchase a 300W system--a JBL that was the upgrade from one we were able to borrow. A 100W single speaker wasn't enough for our church when worshiping outdoors. The 300 was great! But when the JBL system was backordered with Sweetwater, the company turned me toward the 400W Yamaha system. My parishioners are ecstatic about how well they can hear the service now, even with our church sitting right on a busy Main street with lots of noise! The eight channels are more than sufficient for our needs, allowing us to mike 4 performers, a monitor, and my keyboardist's instruments (one or two keyboards), and the sound quality is fantastic! I'm so grateful to Sweetwater for pointing me toward this purchase.

EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY

By AZ Guy from AZ on December 7, 2020

I have used this PA for years. I am mainly a solo guitar guy. Sometime duo. Sometimes I have used it with a band for vocals. Your vocals will sound crystal clear and full. Your acoustic guitars will never sound better.
And I do have and have had a few acoustic amps. Nuff said.
I use a 12" monitor and it also gives a boost to the bottom end. In large loud places I use a 12" powered speaker out of one of the monitor outputs. Your sound will be huge and full. I dont use the subwoofer out put as it cuts some bass out of the speakers and probably the monitors. I suppose it would be OK but I just use the monitor outputs and adjust the speaker and monitor volumes accordingly. I also do not carry the mixer in the speaker cabinet. I use a nice case you can find everywhere for the mixer and cables. Also you can find speaker bags that fit the speakers perfectly. The speaker cables are fine but kind of light weight. Find some 25 foot regular size "speaker" cables. Do not use instrument cables. Other than that you will sound super with this PA.

My Experience with the Yamaha STAGEPAS 400BT Portable PA System with Bluetooth

By Ethan Silvia from Warwick, RI on August 10, 2022 Music Background: The Graveyard Shift

This PA System to me has proven to be very helpful and very reliable to me and my band. I was in the market for a brand new PA system and I found this one. Out of the box it looked really nice and was fast and simple to set up. I love this thing!

Impressive

Bought this 2 years ago for smaller gigs I wasn't sure of the quality of volume I would get. I soon learned, should have know Yamaha is nothing less than quality sound at any level outdoor gigs it even sounds great. I add a sub and go. Easy peezy as they say. Fast set up too.
