For some this is the cats "meow"

I do mostly stereo recording, on location-band, chorus, orchestra. So how does this mixer fill the bill? Let's see: Clean, quiet pres-check, channel insert for my DBX to tame those killer spikes-check... read more [+], direct channel out to feed another recorder for a safety copy-check, 48v phantom-check, 100mm sliders-check, pfl's-check, solid build and never fail reliability-check. Heck, this mixer has way more capability than I need, but for those features that are absolutely critical for classical recording this unit has delivered for nearly four years. I wish it supported a plug-in light and maybe a dedicated talk back, but all in all this thing is a winner. Oh, when you're wearing cans does the cord hang down your left side? Yeah, mine too. Why do all the mixer makers put the headphone jack on the opposite side of the mixer? I guess so we'd have SOMETHING to complain about. This mixer probably isn't a big seller since it has only 4 mic channels but that's enough for a stereo recording session with a couple of spot mics, if needed. The Spirit M8 for anyone else would be more appropriate. Because of the build quality, features, and quiet pres this mixer gets my vote. Soundcraft, send me another T-shirt! close [-]

Our Customers Say...

When it came time to start from scratch with the studio, I had a lot of questions. The Sales Engineers I've worked with are really friendly and patient, and the guidance they provided was invaluable; they basically helped build the studio.
