Fanned Frets? You Bet!
The Ibanez SR Prestige SRFF4505SOL 5-string bass rocks a mahogany body, a 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck, and 24 fanned frets on its wenge fingerboard. Fanned frets yield a longer scale on the bass side of the instrument and a shorter scale on the treble side. This gives you better intonation and more consistent tension and attack from string to string. The SRFF4505SOL is fitted with two Nordstrand Big Single for Fanned Fret pickups.
