Better than the rest IMO

These phones are not boomy , sound tight, punchy and natural . I have many more expensive phones but none sound as transparent and accurate as these . The 850's are great also . Nice prices too

Don't Overlook These Cans. Super Comfort & Amazing Clarity at a Great Price Point

By Kristian from Raleigh, NC USA on August 13, 2014 Music Background: Home studio DAWS/electronic composer and recording artist

Pros: Lightweight materials, flat & adjustable headband, and plush ear piece cushioning make these headphones very comfortable. I wear a behind-the-ear hearing aid in my left ear, and these cans offer plenty of room and a favorable shape for my hearing aid to fit inside and to pick up the sound very well. Bass is very clear and present but not overpowering. All other frequencies are clearly defined and the response is relatively flat helping me hear acoustic detail in my tracks that I had never heard before, even with my worn-down Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones that cost me little more jiggle. The 2.5 meter cord is plenty long for me to move around to different parts of my studio with ease.

Cons: Styling cues are modest and perhaps a little clunky. The plush cushioning tends to pick up pet/head hairs and little bits over a short time. The light-weight plastic construction, while lending greatly to comfort for long recording/mixing sessions, decreases the perception of build quality while handling them. Both the light-weight plastic and the plush are features that lend to comfort at the expense of aesthetics. It's a willing trade-off for me as these are not primarily meant to be some sort of fashion statement. So I only took of a 1/2 star for aesthetics.

Overall, superb sound quality & comfort for the money! I would highly recommend them to the recording artist/engineer who is on a budget! : )
