Flexible audio and MIDI recording
SONAR Home Studio 7 is designed to give you complete control over your audio and MIDI tracks. You can quickly and intuitively record, edit, arrange, and mix all inside the SONAR Home Studio 7 creative environment. Cakewalk's also simplified the Instrument Tracks to make it easier than ever to just set up, play, and record virtual instruments. A Loop Explorer allows you to audition both audio and MIDI loops on the fly, and an Input Quantize feature helps you record your MIDI tracks in perfect time.

Powerful Synth Rack
SONAR Home Studio 7's Synth Rack helps you control VSTi and DXi instruments in your project window - all from one place. Using the Synth Rack, it's easy to find instruments quickly with customizable Synth Icons and you can even display customized controls for each instrument. It's also easy to patch in other ReWire-compatible synths, such as Project5, Kinetic, Reason, and ReBirth.

Four virtual instruments with thousands of sounds
Get creative right out of the box using SONAR Home Studio 7's four powerful virtual instruments. The sounds range from natural drums, bass, and guitar sounds to keys, horns, and strings. There are the DropZone Drag-n-Drop Sampler that's perfect for remixing; the Roland GrooveSynth, featuring classic Roland synth sounds and beat boxes; the TTS-1 GM2 synth, sporting a high-quality, multitimbral GM2 synthesizer with a Roland synth engine; and Square 1, an easy-to-use vintage analog synthesizer.

Create soundtracks to video
