The ... read more [+]neck was straight as an arrow and the string height was perfect. The locking tuners are awesome. You will not bend a string to far or anything like that and lose your tune. The pick-ups are wonderful. Clean tone is so crisp, perfect for recording. The bridge pick-up has a nice aggressive rock or like texas blues bite to it. Not over powering, just good tone. The only complaint my friends have had about it was that it is heavy. My opinion, if you can't hold the guitar get off the stage. Weight implies the quality of wood and that relates to tone. The guitar sounds great with high gain amps. The neck pickup is very warm and big, the bridge pickup is probably the hottest pickup I've played. I would not recommend it for blues or anything other than hard rock/metal/heavy prog. If you're a fan of Tremonti's tone this guitar will get you very close. close [-]
