Enter the TECH 21 Character Series. I own the "British" and the "Liverpool" and good lord do they nail the sounds direct. The character knob is amazing. Go left and you are in JTM45/Plexy heaven, go right and you are in JCM800 mayhem which nails anything that goes from Judas priest to late 80's hair metal. I have no other words to describe it. Going direct is amazing. It's warm, full and has a very full sound that will really breakthrough even in a heavy mix. I am recording my new album entirely with these pedals. close [-] Not an overdrive pedal to put in front of an amp!
