Amazing

By Sweetwater Customer on January 18, 2024

Absolutely love the cymbal pack. Best sounding hats I've used and they sound amazing. Both crashes sound great and riding on the 18" sounds awesome. The ride washes out just a little bit has great sound and stick definition carries through. Good bell sound. Each of the cymbals has a nice musical sound to it with a wide range of sounds. I came back after and got the matching 10" splash from the s series which also sounds amazing. Love zildjian they're the best

S pack

By Tim Williams from Kingsport, TN on March 18, 2023 Music Background: 54 years old.... Took lessons for 10 years 7-17.... Marching Band, Stage Band and now just try to play with whoever, whenever, wherever...

Love mine.... Added a 22" ride and a 14" thin crash... Now my 50$ kit has the brass to make it sound high dollar..

The look sound feel of them on my kit I'm speechless

By Wes from N.c. on September 30, 2022 Music Background: Skills of plenty master of none

Upgraded from Z's their faster clearer and the look of them I can't get over the finish.. all I can say and I'm a rock drummer..

Excellent first set for mature beginner

By L L Flavell from Hannibal Missouri on June 14, 2022 Music Background: 60 years on guitar and keyboard, 1 1/2 years on drums, singer-songwriter, instrumentalist with home studio

I bought these last January to replace my old garbage-can-lid symbols and I found these very pleasing to work with. I play kind of an avant-garde freestyle Jazz and use a lot of different sticking methods and the voices that I can get from these symbols and the way they blend is quite good. To the highly experienced ear they may not be as pleasing as higher-priced symbols however, I rate them an excellent choice for an experienced musician who wants to transition into the drums on a budget.

Cymbal replacement

By Kirk L. Claiborn from Kimberly, Idaho and Mesa, Arizona, (Jan., Feb., and March annually) on May 16, 2021 Music Background: Trap set drums since 1964 but with a huge hiatus for 30 + years....

A short time back I ordered these S series Zildjians to replace my lower grade Sabians and I like them a lot. No dampening needed with moongel or an occassional thumb and finger stop and the sound is "sweet". Chris Lewis has been my sales engineer and we have talked and I want to try to visit Ft. Wayne sometime soon. It is too bad that GearFest is virtual again this year but in my phone calls with Chris and an email from Mr. Chuck Surack, I still hope to visit Sweetwater in the very near future. Thanks and keep up the excellent work.

Great choice for cymbals

By Bob from Boise on March 24, 2021

I absolutely love this cymbal pack. It was a drastic improvement over the Zildjian Planet Z's I had. The sound is bright and perfect for rock, jazz and R&B.

GREAT CYMBAL SET!!

By Chandler Clarkson from Elida, OH on October 13, 2020 Music Background: 10 years drumming experience

I received this set a couple of months ago and I have no complaints! I wasn't looking to spend an arm and a leg for a cymbal set and decided this set was the best option. I use them to gig with my band all the time! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

1st set

By John from New England on October 10, 2020 Music Background: Beginner

For the $,they're tough enough to take a beating, yet they sound far better than B8 cheapos. I don't have a lot of experience, but I've heard good and bad cymbals and these are unique due to being B12's. Thus, they're pretty well all around cymbals. I'm glad I chose em' and i dig em!

Fantastic

By Z G from Washington DC on September 18, 2020 Music Background: Drums, Guitar

Great crisp sound. Not the tippy top of the line but for the price they are fantastic. Crashes sound great, the hats aren't too bright and the ride is durable versatile. 6/5 would recommend

Awesome!

By Jim from Downey, CA on May 15, 2020 Music Background: Played drums in punk bands during the early eighties. Still love to play.

I love my new cymbals. They look beautiful and sound even better. I searched prices and Sweetwater had the best prices. I was very impressed by their one on one personalized customer service. Jake, my rep, called to follow up and ensure everything was good. It was. I received my order very quickly. Overall, great experience. I will buy from Sweetwater again!

Fantastic Hi-Hats

By Dennis W. from Canfield, OH on December 30, 2019 Music Background: Basement drummer

The "S" series cymbal pack was delivered to my door within 24 hours of placing the order with my SW rep Jake T. They are beautiful. They replaced some old used pawn shop cymbals so I expected these to sound better, and I was not let down. The "MasterBeats" hi-hats are (for me) the clear standout in this combo pack. Absolutely spot-on crisp sound. The 18" medium-thin crash sounds fantastic with the right blend of attack and sustain. The smaller 16" is good, but the 18" is the better crash between the two. Both of them together make good crash options. The 20" ride has a super nice sound at the bell but I think it gets thin everywhere else. Overall this is a very, very sweet combo pack which could easily cost more. Zildjian did a fine job here with the newer "S" line.

10/10

By Jason Brahler on December 26, 2017 Music Background: Drummer

These cymbals are just great. I was blown away with how musical they are. I didn't buy this exact set but I did get the two crashes shown in this set. I got the 22'' ride, more on that later, the two crashes 16'' and 18'' are just fantastic. They have a booming sound that you'd expect from B12 Bronze as well as the ringyness of the alloy. The 22'' ride is great for mainly four musical groups rock, metal and blues ,jazz. It just fits so nicely. Thank You Sweetwater

AWESOME CYMBALS

By Walt from Drayden on May 30, 2017 Music Background: I am in a Christian Modern Band (Jericho Road Project) playing both Drums and Guitar

I purchased the a Pearl EXL 7 piece and wanted to stay with Zildjian because they provide the best sounding cymbals in my humble opinion. My last set I had were Wuhan's and I wasn't happy with their sound. Not bad cymbals but just not right for me. I was looking for something reasonable and have had a set of Zildjian K's which were awesome. I've had Zildjian K's, and ZBT's with previous drum kits and these were right between the K's and A's for tone (not price). I was not keen on the ZBT's and didn't want to kill my budget with another set of K's so I decided on the S's and I am really pleased with them. I liked them so much that I purchased the remaining set (10" China splash and 16" Trash Crash). They are absolutely great sounding and match well with my Pearls. These have the right tones I was looking for and within my budget. Big shout out to Sweetwater and AJ Becerra for all his help and patience. Sweetwater is the only place I purchase my instrumental needs and they always stand behind their products. AJ as always helped me through my decision process and is the expert when it comes to percussion and guitar.

Thank You Sweetwater and Thank You AJ!!

I LOVE THESE CYMBALS

By KEVIN on May 10, 2017

I LOVE THESE CYMBALS. I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL DRUMMER AND I DO NOT GIG. I PURCHASED THESE CYMBALS TO REPLACE A SET OF MEINL HCS WHICH CAME INCLUDED WITH THE TAMA IMPERIALSTAR KIT HAT I ALSO PURCHASED FROM SWEETWATER. THESE CYMBALS SOUND AND LOOK GREAT AND ARE A HUGE UPGRADE FROM THE MEINLS. SINCE I DON'T PLAY IN PUBLIC I COULDN'T JUSTIFY PAYING FOR ZILDIAN A'S BUT WANTED SOMETHING ABOVE THE LOWEST GRADE ZILDJIANS. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH MY PURCHASE AND FIND MYSELF PLAYING MY DRUMS EVERYDAY NOW. THANK YOU SWEETWATER.

Really great cymbals

By Weylin Stewart from Jasper, AL on November 10, 2023 Music Background: If I only had more time

I have played eDrums for about 25-30 years. I recently sold a bunch of old equipment and bought a set of Gretsch acoustics. I didn't want the B8s, or the HCSs. I wanted a better quality. Since I hadn't looked at cymbals since the 90s and the "S" was for the dreaded and horrible Scimitars, I almost passed these by.

These are not Scimitars... These are real and great sounding cymbals. I have this set exactly, and I don't think you can beat them for less than $, seriously.

I am adding a 14" fast crash A, and I picked up a used K Ride for a deal. Overall Zildjian, and these in particular are the best.

Awesome for the money...

By Gary Moore from Clearwater, FL on November 8, 2021

Just received these today. They sound so much better than my Meinls HCS cymbols. It was like night and day. I felt like I went from the clangly sound of cheap cymbols to professional grade. Love them.

Great value

By MarkBC from Michigan on November 7, 2016 Music Background: Gigging musician

Here's what I've found with cymbals: you get what you pay for. With that in mind, these have a lot of value. They are FAR superior to the ZBT line. However, they don't sound as smooth as the A line. What are you going to do, right? There is a big price jump between the S and A lines. These sound a bit harsher than the As. But they have a consistent sound no matter where you hit them, they look excellent, and they totally sound good enough to gig with. I am happy with them.

Cymbals crack

By Lou Kistuline from Saint Clair Shores, MI on September 20, 2022

Didn't even get three months out of these cymbals and already have one cracked.

I had a set for five years and still have no cracks but this set has not been very good

Don't buy S series!

By Sweetwater Customer on May 25, 2021 Music Background: Drummer 27 years

I've had these symbols about 4 years not even been played that much and both the crash in the crash ride I noticed a crack in the middle of the symbol... symbols you would expect a crack where the stick hits the edge of the symbol but these crack in a really odd place and I'm not happy at all so if I were you I wouldn't waste your money buying the S Series Zildjian
